I think Pac's vaunting straight left is as hard as any shot Mosley throws. Other than that single punch, I think Mosley has stronger punches. I cant remember the last time Pac has really commited to that punch though, he seems much more reserved with it and down really push through with it as much, probably cos he wants to keep his balance for boxing.
i agree with an earlier post. ask cotto.hahah i think shane hits a bit harder. he is bigger after all.
stronger puncher is mosley but not as fast as manny's. manny's punches with so much speed and that type of punches always hurt the most.
Pac is definitely the better fighter..... but Mosley absolutely hits harder. The Cotto reference is rediculous. For one, Cotto was drained in the Pac fight, in my opinion. Secondly, Cotto never took Mosley's best, because he was outboxing Mosley. With Manny on the other hand, Manny was hitting Cotto at will and in his 2 knock dowsn, the first one Cotto was off balance, and on the second Cotto just didn't see it coming and didn't struggle to get up. The fact is that Cotto just couldn't defend himself against Pac's speed and offense, yet still managed to last almost the entire fight taking countless of Manny's best shots. With Mosley, Cotto was able to outbox him and didn't get hit by nearly as many shots as Manny hit him with. If Mosley had been able to hit Cotto at will the way Manny was able to (due to the fact that he is just a superior athlete and boxer to Mosley), Cotto would have been out. And in case you're wondering, I'm not a Mosley fan, as a matter of fact he's one of my least favorite fighters. There's no denying that that dude hits hard as **** though. Again, Manny is the superior fighter, but Mosley undoubtedly hits harder.
Speed is power. When Pac hurts Void he will not stop fighting. Did Mosley agree to throw the fight with Void?
i think shane is the stronger puncher. pac is more dynamic with his style, factor in speed and angles, which hurts his opponents.
Agreed. Pac hasn't been dropped in 12+ years, and he has a "terrible chin." ****ing ******s in this forum. atsch
Mosley absolutely has more power, but Pacquiao's overwhelming ability to catch and hurt a fighter is a mixture of his speed with the way he sets up his punches in angled flurries from the right footing position. Cotto may have taken Mosley's shots well enough, but that was 1. a pre-Margarito Cotto still mentally tough and technically tight enough under Evangelista, and b. Pacquiao's punches were of a totally different nature which caught Cotto off balance and from places he could not see coming. As they say, it's the ones you can't see that hurt the most, and for the past few years Mosley's speed has not always translated into unpredictability, which Pac is the master of capitalizing on. Also, Manny's most impressive knockouts as of late besides Hatton have all been accumulation-based TKO's. When Mosley knocks someone out (Mayorga, Vargas, Margarito) it's much more definite in nature with the opponent often too hurt to get up anytime soon after.
