Yep. He believes he's something he's not and so his attributes are not in line with the way he wants to fight. His attributes say he should be a 'safety first' fighter, but deep down he's just a fast brawler. But that's more attitude and delusion and of course it has pros and cons. I'm talking more about his mental strength. He's a lot like Terry Norris in the sense that he's not discouraged, gets back on the saddle and faces the storm head on. When Julian Jackson violently put Terry to sleep, he had no hesitation in fighting another big puncher in John Mugabi (although Mugabi was faded) he still had a big punch. Norris stepped to him. He got destroyed by Simon Brown and outboxed him in the rematch.

Vicious knockouts like Khan and Norris suffered would completely destroy most people. What Khan has going for him is that he has a short memory when things go wrong for him. What i mean by that is, he doesn't dwell on it and has the ability to forget it quickly. You could say it's a double edged sword, but in this case it's a major strength.

When people talk about Khan, they have to separate their dislike from their ability to recognize commendable actions and strengths. It’s difficult for some but you have to be objective.

Amir is NOT as talented as people make out and he was always overrated in that respect. He has many more flaws than he has strengths. He has been humbled. But you have to still like his ambition, that kid is a true warrior, would fight Godzilla and dares to be great.

He gets beat by Peterson and KO'd by Garcia, what does he do? he wants an immediate rematch. Although he is a money-maker and he could hide behind his status, he acts like a hungry up and comer. I know he has tried to dictate to others like Alexander and Bradley. But at the same time he has led by example, by unifying the belts and fighting some really tough guys. He has also made some BIG offers. I know it's not fashionable to talk good of him but the kid deserves respect.

I've always said I’m not crazy about his fight game and some of the dumb stuff he says. But in this day of managers who pose as boxers, I’m telling you this kid deserves major props. He has supreme mental strength.

He loses to Breidis Prescott, he goes to the US and spars the most punishing guy in Manny Pacquiao. They say he can’t take a punch and he takes on Maidana. McCloskey gives him problems with some tricky southpaw stuff (a fight most people don't talk about but one in which he displayed more flaws than in any other) and what does he do, he unifies against another southpaw in Zab Judah. See what i mean? I've been watching this sport a long time and i know plenty of fighters who don’t operate like that.

People have to try and take their emotions out of it and think about this. Knowing Khan he will offer Garcia extra money to get him back in the ring to erase the loss, just like he did Peterson. And that’s what I have come to expect out of him.

He didn't 'run all night' vs Kotelnik at all.

Didnt he once accuse Kell Brook on twitter of being a coke user.

I think Eddie Hearn then tweeted that he was off to speak to his lawyers which then prompted Khan to take the tweet down.
