Dawson said that Ward tried to force this fight at catchweight but the Dawson camp wouldn't have a bar of it. Dawson said no issue travelling to fight, will make weight easy and that Ward will struggle. Will expect ward to fight from the inside and will dominate him here.
Geale should have fought on Green-Tarver undercard (or co feature really), but no Geale was too big for that. Should have chased Mundine rematch after won IBF title, but no Mundine had to get his ranking up for that. Should have given Soliman a shot for an all Aussie showdown in Melbourne. But no Soliman just wants money they say. Geale plays the nice guy, which is all good in everyday life, but boxing is boxing.
Geale has earned the right to do things his way. I would suggest his opportunity to fight Sturm proves he and his management have made the right decisions.
