STV Scotland boxing

I really don't want to slag this off, as it is good to see boxing on STV but it was pretty poor fayre.

I'm not sure if the guy against Ham bottled it or not - it was a Jose Gonzalez type situation - only the boxer himself will really know.
He did appear to wince and shake his left before taking a knee.

It would be good if they could look at the MGM and / or Prospect shows.

Another vote here for AAA to be on the mic.
I didn't think the commentary team were really awful but they just weren't very good either.

Exactly - good for the game that they are covering the sport. Hopefully it is not just a fixation with Charlie Flynn and all boxers and promoters can benefit. With some Scottish fighters in big fights soon you would hope that it might progress from the regional channels to the main stv channel in time. Burns is too big for it and with Matchroom but it would make sense if other Scottish guys get a good fight or win a title. It would save Scottish boxers waiting on Matchroom and if Burns does not win on 28th May (hope he does) who knows when they will be back!!!
