Floyd is always reserved against bigger fighters. Leonard would have defensive issues but he would be too active and he is faster.

Floyd is possibly the most overrated fighter from the last 50 years of boxing.

Put down the crack pipe

There are many fighters that are more overrated than Mayweather in the past ten years, never mind the previous 40 as well!

    James Toney
    Vitali Klitschko
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Chad Dawson
    Roy Jones

All more overrated than Floyd IMO.

Then there's Gerald McClellan..... who also gets more praise than his achievements really merited - in light of the Benn incident perhaps.

The highlighted two are a 'no way' rom me. Chavez?!?!?!?!?? A lock for the 30 greatest fighters that ever lived, his resume and skillset show Floyd up. Chavez is arguably the greatest combination puncher of all time.

I agree that Gerald is MASSIVELY overrated. Grossly overrated indeed.

Floyd has fought even less viable opposition than Roy.

In my opinion Chavez is OVERRATED. Note the difference between overrated and crap

I'd say Floyd and Jones have comparable levels of opposition, with Floyd probably having the edge.

As I've said, I think Toney is overrated, Hill was a good win, Hopkins likewise, Trinidad old and shot, McCallum old - never faced DM etc.

Floyd faced an old DLH, overrated Corrales (RIP), smallish Hatton, limited Baldomir, Castillo x2, old Mosley, small Marquez etc.

Not so much because of the Benn fight but because people tend overate potential or "what if" scenarios of fighters who's career have been cut sort or hampered for whatever reason.

Leonard, can't make a judgement on Mayweather, since he faces everyone 10 years past their prime.

"in the second episode of DeLaHoya/Mayweather 24/7 after oscar spars with mosley, mosley said "i could feel the power of oscar's punch and he's wearing 16oz. so mayweather will really feel the power once he puts on them 10oz gloves."

10oz gloves is what they will use. They will both be wearing 10 oz gloves. Mayweather will be wearing his usual 10 oz Winning Brand gloves and Oscar will wear 10 oz Reyes gloves.

The Winnings look alot bigger but its just the way the gloves are shaped that make them look bigger, they also have more padding because Floyd has brittle hands."

That's because he hasn't needed too. In the DLH fight it worked to great effect.

Makes no difference to my post. He has risen to the ocassion in every fight he's had and I said that I believe that he would do so again to a level where the fight would at least be competitive.

Agreed. It therefore comes down to opinion. No way anyone can say how good Floyd really is/was but to say categorically that he gets his arse handed to him here is ridiculous.

Can't agree with that, no way. I aint no Floyd nut hugger. I'd rather watch Roy but I disagree with that statement Flea.
