Prime Robinson destroys hopkins...There aren't even videos available of his true prime...but even the videos available, on the occassions he captured the middleweight title, he would beat hopkins...the guy could k.o. anybody...and even if he didn't ko hopkins he is certainly capable of beating a prime hopkins...the guy is the p4p#1, the man stepped upto lightheavyweight and was destroying a fighter whow as some 20 pounds heavier than him, but for heat exhaustion causing him to fail to come out for the 14th round. Whoever said he lost many times at middleweight...have you considered the fact that this was when he was way past shot...he was knocked down by a guy that couldn't k.o. a fly, and still he lasted the full ten rounds, despite being way past the end of his career. Legend.

Its competitive, both are the cream of the crop, but its a styles thing imo. Robinson in and out with the speed of hands he has is something Bernard had trouble with always. Bernard would still be able to win rounds with his craftiness, he's stronger aswell and his own hands are well underrated. He may drop SRR with a right hand on the button. But i think that when Robinson presses the action he may have success, because if he committs himself to a sustained rapid two-fisted attack, them calculated bombs can find their mark. In the center of the ring, chess-match wise, this can be difficult for both men, Bernard has an argument for being better than Ray there, but thats never been the style to beat him.

Robinson by decision imo, and yes i do mean at SRR's best 160 day.

Anyone who saw that fight, and did not know there was something seriously wrong with Kelly has either never seen a Pavlik fight before, or is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. If Kelly was 100% and BHop fought the fight he did, it would have been a GREAT fight. The old man may still have won, but it would have been a helluva fight instead of a lop sided embarassment.

You AA fans are among the most delusional fans in the boxing world. Arthur is tough and he has a good right hand. It only took him 11 and 1/2 rounds to get rid of the great Elvin Ayala; impressive indeed.

The main thing wrong with Kelly was he was up against 1 of the slickest boxers in history instead of a giant tyre, the tyre may not have been the best sparring partner in retrospect. And he didn't remember to pack his sledge hammer he'd be using in training against the tyre, completely threw him off his game

I've goto say I'm looking forward to Arthur-Pavlik, I'm going with Pavlik to take him deep and sink him

So, you compare the style of Ayala to Pavlik?

Well, if you think outpoint him, I agree. Very possible. think is both are made for each other. Pavlik likes stationary targets where he can unload upon while Abraham loves guys coming to him to counter them. It´s a very close fight. either Pavlik on points or Abraham by KO. But with Abraham´s defence and chin and Pavlik´s defence and chin, I lean to Abraham. Taylor would outbox Abraham, as would Kessler btw.

Hand speed, I would emphatically disagree!

and Robinson was by far the greater and faster combination (flurrier) puncher than Roy

Jones threw very fast combinations at 160 and 168. Imo up there with Robinson.

Lurch, I dont need "telling" anything. My point is a prime Jones would beat any version of 'Nard.

    as would Robinson.

Whilst Jones has awesome handspeed, I only ever noticed the speed in 2 or 3 punch combinations, whilst Robinson could throw a fussilade of over 8 punches in the blink of an eye.

Check some of the Robinson' Youtube montage's for evidence of this...

I just think Pavlik's high output style will bother and break down Abraham who likes to work at a slower pace unless Arthur can counter with KO shots, which is a possibility. Pavlik is also a massive MW, with underrated speed and underrated boxing ability. Miranda and Taylor supposedly liked come forward fighter too but they got manhandled.

Interesting fight but I'll be going for Pavlik

Miranda liked come forward fighter? First time I hear that.

Abraham has a totally different style and much much better defence and chin than those two. His explosive flurries are very dangerous, each of these punches are potential knockout punches and Pavlik´s defence is very leaky and his chin is average. I can´t see Pavlik avoiding getting cleanly hit for the whole fight. And one punch would be enough, even if Pavlik is only hurt, Abraham never let anybody of the hook. And Abraham has qute a few 11 or 12 round KOs which indicates that he carries his power in the championship rounds.

Hope we see this fight soon. Could become a classic. :good
