Well styles make fights man DLH used a stiff jab agianst Mayorga he was never able to use all them rough and dirty tactics he used agianst Mosley. Margarito is a very tough fight man but I could see Shane landing about a million counter overhand rights on Paul Williams.

No, Shane isn't shot, I think he can win another world title, but I don't think he's what he once was.

People are soooooooooo concerned about the use of certain terms. They start twisting the meaning of what it means when a fighter is "hurt" or if a fighter is "shot." Countless ****ing pages of bandwith..

he'd be competitive or win, against cintron, judah and clottey.... i say he fights these 3 then retire

i dont see him beating cotto, berto, williams, or margarito...the welterweight big shots are damn near monsters, so he should give up on fighting them at his age

but overall considering who he was fighting last night, and the physical advantage mayorga had and just how completely unorthodox he is, i say he looked as good as possible, i mean in the end he knocked him in 1 shot.....i say the end justifies the means, ya know?

I think he has a bit left, and think Berto would be a smart direction to take.

That may be so......I dont think Shane was as up to fight Mayorga, as he would have been to fight a bigger name such as Cotto or Margarito......
.....but I'm seeing the same decline in Mosely that I saw in Evander Holyfield during and past the Lennox Lewis fights.
His speed and quickness is visibly in decline.....and so are his reflexes.
He got clipped by some Mayorga shots early on that fighters like Trinidad and DLH easlily saw and avoided when they fought Mayorga.

Mosely is not manuevering the ring like he used to. Legs are one of the first things a fighter loses.

I do agree that Mosely still has a big fight or two left in him.....
......but I'd prefer that he not have them.
Mosely is one of those genuinely rare breeds. As nice a good guy as you can get.
That infectuous smile of his is not fake. I know guys who have personally met him. He never turns off a greeting or a handshake, and never gives off the impression to anyone that he's better than they are.
It would hurt me as a boxing fan to see harm come his way from the effects of ring wars!:?

I think Mayorga was just to big and wild for him but imo Mayorga came in great shape and really up for it and would have been a hand full most at that weight. So props to him first of all.
I think Shane has one or two good fights left in him he had a great fight with Cotto. I would like to see Shane reteire now rather than later he is a great example to us all . But I think he will fight on and I think they will be sooner rather than latter. Being inactive will do him more harm than good if he wants to fight on.
