thats because you're always hedge betting "i think he will win, but won't be surprised if he won" :nono

and i always go out on a limb after breaking it down, give me a definitive answer after a thorough analysis so i can look forward to bumping it too. :yep:good

what I like about you Mandanda is, the rest of the forum will be going at each other, discussing and rating naked pictures or just going off on other tangents etc then you sneak in the room spitting the sweet science. My type of guy. :good

Cheers Slip...Your top man yourself :good

I been thinking we have to remember also that Calzaghe didn't have much pop in his shots against Kessler and Ward i believe has decent hands and his power is underated...he's got a decent stoppage rate imo.

I think if he gives Kessler lateral movement then when he attacks he must throw punches in bunches...Kessler isn't a typical european when it comes defense he's looking to counter you as you come in with shot chopping shots not just cover up say like Kotelnik did against Khan but he steps back out in a straight line and Calzaghe started to catch him doing that...so if Ward comes in and keeps pressure on then rolls out to side and keeps to that he will cause Kessler problems. In saying all this Kessler is a damn good fighter and his punches are hurtful and Ward will taste his fair few shots and it's up to him whether he can take it and come back with his own work. Calzaghe befudled Kessler with punches in bunches but Kessler still had his moments at times.

you're right he's not as robotic as typical euro fighters, but he's still comes in straight lines and will look robotic against someone who switch hits effectively, throws short shots in combinations when Kessler engages, slipping and rolling and has a tight defence, I can't see Kessler wearing him down as much as i see him being thrown off by a unorthodox southpaw for the second time in his career.

At the same time Ward is not Calzaghe by any stretch and does someone like miranda prepar him for kessler? the big question is how well ward takes one of kesslers big shots because as you said kessler will catch at least a couple of times with big shots even if ward is running away with the fight kessler is to good not to have his moments, kessler might have to knock him out to win.

Having said that i can't see his two year resume (post Calzaghe) getting him ready for the slickness coming his way. It willl be interesting though...I'm phening like a crack addict to watch Ward pot shot him and see if Mikkel has a plan B as Calzaghe somewhat exposed Kesslers one trick plan A.

 I agree with you yet again Slip. If you see round 7 in the Calzaghe fight...Kessler gets peppered and starts to lose his flow and starts looking sorry for himself for a lil while.

I'm really looking forward to Froch-Dirrell but this ones the boxing fans fight the real people who appreciate a boxing match rather then a tear up. It's really got me excited i'm counting down the days for this. Abraham-Taylor is yet another great fight....this competition is a dream come true :happy

Damn, I'm forgetting about the man who could be the last one standing and that's the King Armenian. I always liked his working behind a Shell style of using the others aggression against them. But he could easily be in a little too deep here because not only do we have some slick boxers that won't come in like a Miranda, but we also have heavy handed guys like Froch and Kessler. Who knows, AA is a live pitbull in the doberman kennel. oh maan, I have to wait till October for this.
