Ward is a lot faster and his stance will trouble one dimensional slow plodding 1-2 block of kessler all night long. Ward can dance on him all night long or he can eaily outwork him. Ward is too much for kessler. Ward is too fast and elusive. Kessler is not hard to find either.

To be fair mate I never have enough patience to sit down and do things like this. I just make an assumtion and thats that.

The furthest I will go into it is that I think Kesslers inactivity and poor opposition may hurt him a little, couple this with the fact that I was a little disappointed with Kesslers inability to adapt mid fight in the way Calzaghe did (full props hoever must go to Joe for this). Plus I really like Ward as a boxer.

    Fair enough Dan...

    By the way, there's a long running inside joke between me and a certain Kessler fanatic on Brit ESB so some people mistake that little banter for hate or me just disrespecting him, but i've gotta hand it to Mikkell for entering this tourney, he's already proved me wrong, because just a few months ago i would've said;

Unless you're actually from Copenhagen and Kessler saved your milk money from a bully in grade school, then you have absolutely no business in hyping him. He fought Joe pretty well and made JC adapt to his style and pick him apart for the last 7 rounds of that fight. But Showtime gave Kessler the keys to US soil with a 5 fight deal and he rejected it.

I also said that, since Calzaghe retired we will start to see a shift into the hype and praise for this tattoo'd and sheltered Dane. As it only makes sence to start building the Viking Skirt up since his post-Calzaghe resume will only further solidify Joe's legacy. (I might've been proved right on that one)

I remember going back and forth with a Kessler fan and saying all this along with, "I would love to see King Arthur get his arse up 8 lbs and take Kessler out for good. Hell, even Froch could send that mark back to the tattoo parlor to get the other side of his body inked up. What a joke!"

Well, looks like the jokes on me after Mellisa kessler got himself off that milk carton and will go a long way in this tourney and absolutely destroy people like Froch.

my sincere apologies to the *Ahem* Dane. :good

BA has announced that Juanma will be fighting Luevano at featherweight for the 'BO strap. Thats a pretty tough fight for him to be going straight into after that war with Mtagwa who is gonna be fighting Gamboa on the undercard. Good card. (maybe one for primetime?)

Luevano is no slouch guys, he's certainly a very polished and rounded fighter. I thought Bob might keep JuanMa in witness protection for a while but i'm kinda glad he's not. JuanMa always performes best in his biggest and toughest fights when he has that fear imo. He may have been overlooking Mtagwa or even struggled with the weight. If he shows up like that against Luevano though, he'll get picked off.

Gamboa WILL beat Mtagwa. He's had his 15 mins of fame. Gamboa will have learned from Juanma's mistakes, plus his speed will be enough to nuetralise everything Mtagwa positive was able to do against Juanma. It kills 2 birds with one stone, Bob won't have to make a JuanMa rematch if Gamboa gets rid of him, ain't it funny though how Gamboa is almost 30, much more experienced then JuanMa and people treat him like he's more of a novice then JuanMa.

by the way, i've still got Juanma over Gamboa because STYLES MAKE FIGHTS!

you obviously haven't seen much of Ward or ain't analysed him deeply enough, because if you did then you'd realise that a Ward KO/TKO is probabily the least possible outcome in the fight, Ward doesn't KO people let alone a super strong, tough Dane, who doesn't exactly fight with his face.

I think Ward is gonna win this by potshotting, circling, switch hitting effectively, rolling on defence and getting off first,. I guess he COULD hurt Kessler to the body, but if there's gonna be a KO in this fight (which i don't think there will be) then its Kessler who's getting the W.

Ward will try to just run knowing that if he can stay on his feet his judges, referee will give him the fight. What did Ward mean by cheating?

Tomorrow I'm gonna sit down and have an extended viewing session on Ward -- all the footage I can find is going to be carefully scrutinized.

Then I'll make my official pick for this fight and hopefully continue the good run.

The big day is nearly here:happy

I'm not sure he is that much faster, if at all.

Ward can switch hit though, which may be interesting. He's a two armed fighter.
