As far as I remember with Kyokushin you could also punch and kick your opponent in the face... otherwise it wouldn't be the hardest version by a long shot, as a lot of fights in my time ended with a kick or punch to the head and a lot of broken noses.
That didn't allow low-kicks though, and elbows only to the body.

I thought this was a thread on how Oscar and Canelo are going to dodge the GGG rematch ...

No. Facial strikes with any part of the hand are forbidden. Anything else is fine though.

OMFG! I'm losing it. That's so funny. The best part is when the judge gives the final point to one girl and the other is pissed like "Hey, I did even less than she did. I never came close to touching her. These judges must be blind."

Isn't that Kyokushen? Kicks to the head are allowed but punches to the head are not.

Probably. haven't competed in like 20 years now, so kinda hazy on the details from other styles.
One thing though is that there were also huge differences between orgs and different tournaments in my time. We used to get instructions before the tournament started, what was and wasn't allowed, certainly when it came to mixed style tournaments. Usually a lot of warnings and penalties were given in the early rounds of such a tourney, due to automatisms.
