There are a few years-old threads about the question. I was adamant that Duran would defeat Whitaker and still am. Sweet Pea and Robbi chose Whitaker, at least back then.

Don't worry about Duranium aka Pachilles, he's just here for entertainment purposes only.

He would have to face the wrath of Oscar at some point.

What about people like me who saw him in his prime and saw Whitaker in his prime and think Whitaker would beat Duran. Duran did not do well with guys like Whitaker ,and he never fought that caliber at lightweight.

We would be mourning his three round blow out defeat to Felix Strum in 2008, and wondering why the hell he is fighting Roy Jones next year!!!

Of course we would marvelling at his fight with Toney in 93, which was dead even going into the eleventh.

This after his amazing earlier 1993 win over Terry Norris, after being upset by Chris Pyatt the year before...

His two brilliant fights with Chavez in 1990 would stand out though, first when he took J C Spuerstar's '0' and then when he quit in the rematch, strange...

Doubtful. Nutrition has only gotten worse over the past decades, only now the shift back to whole natural foods starts to take place among athletes.
