there is always one. there are plenty of calzaghe hate threads on here. **** off on one of those with your bull**** dick head. as for ottke. he is more boring than hopkins to watch and the reid fight is one of the worst robberys i have seen.
he had great footspeed and defensive abilties. hand speed was ok but nothing special, it was his legs that were special. brewer beat him in the first fight, larson fight was very close but i had ottke up by 1 point, i a fight were there were only perhaps 30 punches landed by both fighters in the entire fight. reid fight should have been declared a no contest and the ref and promoter looked into. but ottke could box, made glen johnson look silly and limited. but ottke had many many close fights for a reason. the ottke corner new the scores of the judges after each round and had a huge huge advantage because of that. it meant he never had to take risks to win fights and risk getting caught by punches. the larsen fight for example was incredibly close , yet ottke knowing he only had to see out the last round without being decked never threw a sinlge punch in the last round got on his bike and ran around the ring with larson not able to do anything and ottke i think won by split descion. i thought he beat starie/markusson/brewer 2/ clearly in fights sometimes called rrobberies. johnson himself i think insinuates he was robbed, he was not , he was outboxed easily and then ottke got on his bike and coasted knowing johnson needed a ko to win.
Unfortunately you are wrong. To be sure you have to cut the german fighter in two, then fry him on a pan and finally eat him. Only then can you be recognized as the winner!:!:
forget calzaghe, enough on him..... back to stories and opinions on ottke! My opinion on him is the same as someone writer once said of ottke; "if I were forced, at gunpoint, to give him some credit as a fighter, I would probably choose the assassins bullet."
Ottke is a better fighter than given credit, but the worst thing that happened to him was going undefeated. He'd have more respect if he'd lost a couple times and fought outside the country some.
if he has lost to reid then people would rate him higher as that win was as ****ed as fattys leg so when people look back all they see is the ried fights and forget he was a good boxed who was hard to hit but very boring. going for a run in rounds 10-12 because you know you can only lose by KO is never good
A German talking about Sven Ottke and mentioning the word biased All of your posts are about fighters based in Germany accept it Sven Ottke was a fraud and no one outside of Germany gives a **** about his fraudulent and corrupt career. Ottke ducked the best competition and got help from the corrupt German judges and referees his whole career, Sven Fraud.
Ottke and Beyer were with the same promoter and that guy said those two will never fight each other. You could also make the arguement Calzaghe ducked Ottke.
