so how many of you use them?
Do you think there effective on what you use them for?
Personnally I'm yet to see a major development. I only use
Mine for running as I believe this is more sufficient to what I
    Use them for, fat/weight loss.
Your input on weather theve worked for you would be a help

Sweating more does not make you burn more fat, in fact it will only make you perform less as your engine can not uphold its optimum temperature. When your body overheats, performance drops. Sweat suits are good for dehydrating, not for weight loss.

But when wearing a sweat suit you warm up faster meaning your body is getting worked quicker resulting in burning more calories faster, itvmay make you perform less of you stay dehydrated but if your constantly drinking then your staying hydrated resulting in a effective workout. Why do all the top pros wear them if there so bad ?

Wearing a sweater during warming up has the same effect. Even if you stay hydrated it will hamper performance, as your body will be unable to cool your blood, which is the reason you sweat in the first place.

Let's say you normally run 6 mph. You decide to wear a sweat suit. Instead of still running 6 mph and burning more calories, you will only run 5 mph and not burn a single calorie more. Performance drops to keep the temperature down, if that fails you may get a heat stroke. And that my friend is very dangerous.

They're not bad, they just don't aid in fat loss. Pro's wear them to lose water weight prior to a fight.

Personally, i'm not a fan of them. If you need to rely on a sweat suit, you're training camp hasn't been sufficient, you're diet has been off or you're trying to force yourself into a weight class where you don't really belong.

We all know the risks of dehydration, and rehydration is a very specialised art - i'm certainly not comfortable dabbling with this type of thing. If a fighter stays at 3 - 4lbs above their fighting weight, they should never need to wear a sweat suit.

    exactly

sweat suits are good only when someone is making weight and has a weigh in within 24 hours of wearing a suit, so if you are a pro and has time to rehydrate after the weigh in then by all means a sweat suit is ok, wearing a suit will leave you dehydrated which in turn will cause extra strain of your heart and lungs, body temp to rise and blood volume will decrease all of these wil cause performance to drop.
extreme cases can see it cause nausea, vomitting and the shits, basically every bit of water you lose in training through sweat should be replaced after training, they say if you lose 1 kg of weight after a session then replace with 1 litre of water

I doubt it's what he was trying to do, but water is all he was losing.

  12. I use a sports jacket and beanie when training in warm weather from time to time. I dont know how to back it up but i feel it helps with the mental strain and roughness of training. I've trained with Australian champions who do it too though I never asked why.

I think its one of those old school things.

lads listen sweat suits should only be used for when "water weight draining" to make weight before a weigh in

there is science behind this stuff, and to use one not during this time is bad practise

in 24/7 when hatton was using it im sure that was to test where he was weight wise after water cutting, this is done so when after water cutting before a weigh in its no surprise what your gonna be
