    Was 38.

Had just defeated the next best fighter in the division.

Had beaten his great rival Tyson the year before.

Had been a long reigning undisputed champ.

Had made 10s if not 100s of millions in his career.

He retired at ABSOLUTELY the perfect time

Lennox could make a comeback right now and pummel Wlad into oblivion

He was TEN pounds heavier than in Rahman 2.

And basically 30lbs heavier than he was when he destroyed Ruddock.

He was NOT in good shape.

The Kilts are the dirtiest, foulest, most cheating boxers in all of boxing history except for maybe the boxers in the time of Jack Johnson.

Well here is an undeniable fact....Wlad is certainly the most clinch happy champion since Johnson, and probably the most boring.

Paying someone to step aside and clear the way for him to fight the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world on short notice is "low"?. That said, when was Vitali ever "low"?, only to irrelevant garbage like you I suppose.

Damn Lennox, you're one of the best ever, you shouldn't lower yourself to that level.

Lewis is borderline top ten, and yet you have fans who try to say he belongs in the top five, or even above Ali and Louis!! :patsch

The 5th round is early enough. Bottom line is Lewis was blown away twice by second rate opposition when he held the title.

Holyfield and Tyson may not have been at their absolute best when they fought in 1996, but they were sure more formidable than when either of them faced Lewis. Personally, I think each of them, particularly Holyfield, should be rated higher on the ATG list than Lewis by the way.

You're probably one of those things who think Vitali beat a prime fit Kirk Johnson too right?

Vitali knew he was going to get the fight from the getgo and trained 100% for him.

Lewis came in fat, undermotivated, underprepared, under the weather and still took him out. :thumbsup

I have a firm belief that fighters can retire too late, but they can't retire too early.

Boxing's not the kind of sport where you can compete at the top level eyeing the door, let alone with one foot out of it. Lennox couldn't have went out on any higher of a note than he did; he certainly could've went out on lower ones had he continued to fight.
