Holyfield can say whatever he want. So we should believe to all his saying? So Stewerd says Klitschko hits harder then Lewis. And i dont see how someone could say who hit harder, just by being hit. Its not only the hit, its the place where the punch is placed and so many other factor for how strong 1 shot is. Holyfield can say that Valuev hits harder then Lewis, so we got to believe him? I dont see how 91 version of Foreman was hit harder then Lewis. Its that Holyfield lose vs Lewis 2 times, but win against Foreman.
Vitali was more skilled than the underprepared Lewis and lewis' power was TOO much. Most of the fighters Foreman beat were more skilled than himself.
Foreman will crush Vitali its not even funny. An out of shape fat Lewis was one round away from knocking out the already smashed up Viatli No one ever hit Vitali to the ribs - which is supposed to be his weak spot. We saw how Chisora had Vitali on the back foot as soon as he hit the mid section. If a poor puncher like Chisora could chase Vitali and make him run on the backfoot imgine what Foreman will do! Can you say concussion!!
Holyfield fought all 3. His personal account is more insightful than your interpretation will ever be. Holyfield fought Lewis TWICE (Holyfield was beaten badly the second time) so he had plenty of shots taken. He fought Tyson twice, and went the distance with Foreman. The point is that by his own admission, Foreman hit the hardest. He never said Valuev hit harder so the point is moot.
Vitali did not take all of his power. If he could take all of, his eye wouldn't be mashed up. Cut = TKO.
He had taken it up to that point. But THAT uppercut made him hold on, he didn't just walk threw it like Mercer did. Lewis also had Vitali wobbled with an innocuous looking right hook that had him holding on for dear life near the end. Lewis was grinding him down, while one single shot was never going to finish Vitali off, the accumulation of power shots is taking it's toll. Foreman had more than enough power to stop Vitali had he been able to land with similar regularity like Lewis did. Foreman would have also worked the body, his body shots are scary, nobody worked the heay bag like Foreman did, he has frightening power in those wide hooks. Not sure if Foreman would have beaten Vitali like Lewis did. While he could apply more pressure than Lewis his punches were wider, he was slower so he may not be able to land as much as Lewis did. But if he could I think he would have stopped Vitali.
Foreman could potentially destroy Klitschko, he had power and experience. Klitschko could also have destroyed Foreman, he has size, skills, toughness etc.
And he lose to 2 of them. Thats why he say Foreman hits harder then Lewis. He lost both matches against lose. The draw was pathetic. Lewis destroy him right there.
"The guy I beat hits way harder than the guys I lost to" ~every boxer ever but yeah Foreman did actually hit very hard.
You're one of the few posters who seem to have saw that right hook about 30 seconds before the round ended. Those idiots on HBO were saying that Lewis was hanging on to Vitali to keep from falling when in fact he was trying to free himself from those octopus like arns so he could finish him off. Even at the very end with about 3 seconds left, Lewis lands an upper cut.
Foreman was one of the hardest hitters ever. I think any knowledgeable fan (euro or not) knows this. But having enough power to KO someone and actually doing it are two different things.
Foremans raw power was special compared to 70s LHW size HWs. Foremans raw power compared to 2000s SHWs was average at best.
