Hey moron do you know what a 45 degree step is? You step to and slide a the same time. You do this behind a jab that you double and triple up to disrupt the movement. So... -- jab, slide step, jab, slid step (keeping your foot outside) -- (when he rolls right to escape) -- you launch your left hand -- quickly side shuffle in front of him because his momentum will either be stopped or land him on the OTHER rope or into the CORNER Why don't you actually join a Boxing gym and spar a few rounds?
I know right! That crap is basic defensive theory in ANY sport that is about closing in on a ball, opponent, etc... NEVER run directly at/after your TARGET! :nono
My man...don't go there. I used myself as an example in an earlier post that I could dodge and make anyone look bad in a ring for 12 rounds for a reason. Ive played against michael vick in football and Allen Iverson in high school before anyone outside of Va knew about them. I also know a lil math....so if you step to your right and the other guy backpedals, the distance between your fist and the target has actually increased. **** angles, u think Pac with his lil short arms would be able to reach him? Jesus Christ...seems this too much too understand. The only way u can go to close distance from an all out retreating opponent is a straight line. Being that Shane has 7 inch reach advantage, how easy do u think this for Pac? The only way to have looked good is if Shane actually punched back to where Pac can actually be given an opportunity to work angles. When you punching back, yor not movn back....that shouldnt be hard to for u to figure out as well.
This would never happen and I dont know where u are.....but if yor in Virginia or the dc area, sure lets go a gym. Lets get in a ring. I wont even throw a punch... u can sidestep all u ****n want, cut off the ring....i bet u I will make u come at me in a straight line.
Wow really? U should go ask Duran how effective sidestepping is from a backpedalling opponent....or better yet, go draw yourself a diagram:rofl
**** how can u expect anyone to read this ****....its all over the place. Learn how to write better...heres response for ya---120-108 120-107 119-108...yeah pac sucks and dont know how to apply pressure.
After Mosley got knocked down and badly hurt, he just ran, held on, did nothing, just there to try and survive.
Don't argue with someone who actually boxed!!!! The only way to get an upperhand in any discussion in ESB is to always claim that you boxed, and if you mention an ATG as a sparring partner, the more credible you become. That is why I always mention that I sparred with Sugar Ray Robinson. And don't debate with any ***** about angles, like algebra or geometry or triangles because their brain can not comprehend those thing. Apparently, when an opponent takes two step backwards, you can easily close the distance by making two steps 45 degrees to the direction which your opponent is moving backward. Who can debate with that? Apparently, the shortest distance between two points is a 45 degree one. It gets complicated when an opponent is already running backwards while the opponent is cocking his punch. That means he is taking more than 2 steps already. The only time you can cut the ring against an opponent running backwards is when he reaches the rope. or your 45 degree movement is faster than his backward movement, simply you are taking more number of steps than your opponent.
Pac should stop chasing and make him look like a chicken, then say, Hey! are you here to fight or dance? quit being a chicken and fight! this is boxing not shall we dance! luckily this is ain't a cockfight, if it is, Floyd and alike will be disqualified, for running.
Yeah taunting could work but this aint kindergarten and sayin' "Hey Shane yor a chicken" is kinda weak sauce....I would suggest Pac learn some "yor momma ..."jokes.
He should learn to cut off Shane by moving to the side first not letting Shane pass by him, keeping him on same side of the ring. Then at the same time inch closer to him till he gets backed against the rope. Shane may try to swing around at that time but at least Manny gets a shot or two. Rinse and repeat. I think the Mosley fight is a good lesson for Pacquiao and his team. I bet they are working on it right now and next time Manny will know what to do. edit: Realized bald_head_slick already is trying to say the same thing. I'm a big Pac fan and you guys should realize that Pac really needs to improve on this. It would be very useful and may be crucial against Foyd.
