Lockett found his level badly when Tsarenko beat 7 bells out of him. His face looked like a side of cooked beef. After that is was then i realised he only wanted to do well out of this sport financially. He went the usual tried and tested WBU route and Frank lined him up well. Dam shame as i watched him rise through the ranks and i remember when he creamed one of our fighters at the Peacocks Nembhard. Jamaican lad who lived above the gym.
Looking i am, appreciate the listings. Many a memory or idea is thought just looking at em, cheers. Mcreesh, Carruth n Vincent i dunno bout. Be interesting to know how they are now, all of them in general. Khalid especially, if it wasnt Hare or Hatton etc on the telly/sky..there was a lot of good ones not even fighting for the "WBU" etc.....how many times did Khalid fight and defend the IBO ? He WAS a taxi driver too haha, though he was a tall rangy welter also......solid at the weight too. Stone, how i found Mosley. Cheers EDIT : Steve Roberts......fought for and defended the "WBF" ? Remembering him, he was a SOLID southpaw, straight forward.
Steve was a decent boxer. But he spent far too long defending that crappy title he made a nice living off and was never really interested in boxing and said so himself. He only did it because it made him a decent living. His last fight against Pastriev i think was very disappointing. Steve just turned up. And to think he was ranked numebr 10 by the "Ring". And when Shane KO'ed Adrian he hung them up. It was a very bad KO. He came back to fight a young Sergio who wiped the floor with Williams twice and then called it a day. Stone was a very good domestic pro. He just was in way too deep against Forrest when he got his jaw broke and an unbeaten Sugar Shane.
I can see Stone on the canvas still, regarding Mosely. Last of Stone it pretty much was. Boy of here on some posts has the idea Adrian Stone might be producing and worked on Rodney P stuff etc ages ago, probs just two diff A Stone's.
Tak dropped a UD to Daniel Santos at 154lbs. Santos is one of the best 154lbs fighters even now. He is far better than the majority of Mac opponents and Tak managed to go the distance against him. The Alexandra KO lost was brutal!
