Definitely seems like a lot to do, but I'd be up for it... Maybe when I get more of a feel for the program. I just finished the Liston one, and I'm trying to improve with every one I make, but this seems like a lot for only two videos in. No disrespect, though- Definitely seems like a sweet idea.
Not a fan of Mercyful Fate, I presume. I'll definitely be putting in some DP on some video, they're classic. I got a real beaten up "In Rock" record in my collection.
You should see if you can do something cool with “The Hawk” Pryor. Pick something hard and heavy then try to match the pace of the song with progressively rising aggression and lengthier onslaughts. AP punched for all 3 minutes so there should be loads of good clips to pick from.
I'll definitely consider it- Pryor's one of my favorite fighters of all time. My only hope is that I won't tarnish his name while making it.
AP was a hard worker, brave, could box better than usually credited and never “fought scared” he was a fighter down to his marrow. I really respect Aaron. Which fights do you like of his?
Most. Arguello I and II, his scrap with Mr. Excitement, him taking the title from Cervantes, his domination of Hart... Oh man. Pryor was possibly the most entertaining fighter there ever was.
@Totentanz. Speaking of Aaron Pryor one thing I wished he’d done was punching while bobbing - the weave. If you look at this little clip he bobs under the string training instrument then punches, you can stab a right to the body then hit them with the left hook in the same amount of motion demonstrated. He could’ve gone even further with the pressure this way and kept himself safer. This content is protected
I've seen the footage, it likely was just a combination of things that led to him not properly bringing training from the gym to the ring. Crack, his corner, whatever.
I’m saying in the clip he is demonstrating what he always did. I don’t think anyone ever taught him how to Bob & Weave.
Probably not properly. I've seen him Bob and Weave, but it was only for specific, short sequences when he was showboating.
I can't help but feel that it's inevitable that I'll do a highlight reel of Francois Botha to Ted Nugent's "The Great White Buffalo".
I don’t think you understand me, maybe show me the clip? the motion of rolling your head in the U shape is the bobbing portion, punching within that motion is the weave.
That's odd. I've never heard of punching being noted as a key part of bobbing and weaving. As I know it, bobbing is well- bobbing, and weaving is the movement you use to move your head outside of that standard bobbing motion. If bobbing is a U, then weaving is an 8, as I know it.
