How do you miss weight in a division you've just moved up to? Floyd and Ellerbe need to stop treating Tank like he's the best thing since sliced bread, and he really should stop hanging out with Broner. He would be eaten alive by any of the elite lightweights, with this kind of discipline.
The covert intent of promoting Tank & Red head is for fans to remember how great Floyd & Oscar were...in comparison to those beefed-up up short things
A fighter missing weight is always an occasion for morality vultures to come swooping in for a feast.
Was supposed to be the next big thing after he demolished Pedraza. That was nearly 3 years ago. This is his most meaningful fight since. Other being a cancelled bout with Abner Mares. Mares who had no business moving up to 130 anyways. Fortunately, he is only 25.
Not sure why everyone is laying into Davis for missing weight by a pound and change first go round. Cutting weight is a fine art and sometimes you mess it up. He managed to shed the excess weight on the second go, and that's only going to benefit Gamboa for what it's worth. I'm not a huge fan of Davis and feel he's a bit of a diva who's hanging with the wrong crowd, but I think people are overreacting here massively.
How do you miss weight in your first fight after moving up a division? This guy is one of the most overrated boxers on the planet right now....won’t take any good fights and constantly misses weight.
