I'm hearing that tarver is going to sign the rematch clause that was in the chad dawson contract.That is definetly something nobody wants to see because dawson anhilated him in almost every round in the last fight and tarver's slow love taps didn't challenge dawson and it didn't make the fight exciting.On top of that we'll have to hear him talk and talk again and not deliver,Dawson is ready to move on to bigger and better things rather than waste his time on tarver who needs to retire by the way.
He doesn't have any better options, he might as well try his luck in a rematch than end up with nothing. He's already old and getting older of course, might as well take on anything available before he's totally counted out.

Why not he is still at top 10 guy and if a tv network is interested. it is the last option for tarver.
Tarver hasn't been the same since Rocky 6. He took a beating that night. And i can't see him beating Dawson.
Who knows maybe Dawson will come and underestimate Tarver, and not be prepared like he was for the first fight?
Well Tarver hasn't activated the clause yet, I think it's because he realizes he will lose again. And Tarver is somewhat of a name, he can get a decent paycheck doing something else like television. Tarver isn't exactly hurting from money you know.
