Is it still going ahead? No news, no tickets on sale.

I think Taylor will have a replacement parachuted in.

Dissapointing what's happeneing. WBSS is such a good concept

its a shambles really -- surely it will go ahead with Taylor v tba (Postol?)?

Such a shame the format is not holding up

It's not looking good. I think it's almost safe to say Taylor won't be fighting Baranchyk. I did hear Ricky Burns is the potential replacement. It's plausible I suppose, they would probably see him as a safe option with regards to selling some tickets. It's a fight that would've appealed two years ago, but in this scenario it would be a big let down, and that's no disrespect intended to Burns.

I dunno if it's officially confirmed or anything, but Postol is lined up to fight Mimoune next for the WBC silver title I think. The guy that beat Eggington a few fights ago.

    There’s 3 reasons Ricky shouldn’t fight taylor

    1. Ricky’s not a light welter
    2. Can’t fight southpaws
    3.
    Taylor would win very easily

Aye I agree. As I say. It's a fight I would've been up for 2 years ago, when Taylor was still somewhat unproven, but now I think Taylor wins easily too. Money aside, it's a bad fight for Burns. Not even sure it'd be competitive. No disrespect to Burns again, I just think Taylor's that good, and like you say, Burns isn't a light-welter.

Burns would just skip away all night like his tame defeat against Indongo and the only question would be whether Taylor would catch up with him before the final bell. Personally I think Taylor has the potential to be an elite fighter and would destroy Burns at this final stage of his career.

Burns should have retired after the Crawford defeat with a very good legacy but we all know he needed the money after the Fish Warden case.

@billy nelson Do you think the Taylor v Baranchyl fight is off mate?

An absolute shocker mate and even worse now with all these Brits fighting during the night in Tommy Tank Land.

Most of these highly predictable pony cards not even worth recording on Sky for later viewing

agreed - I don't mind the odd US card but all the time without great fights is sh*t for us UK fans

think Taylor would stop this version of Ricky with but to spare now would like see Taylor vs Campbell think Taylor beats him imo. Totally agree some ther a cards been awful dazn cards aren't great look last two. Farmer vs Jono Carroll it Taylor and week before hooker vs a duno who and Johnson vs monahan . Shouldn't be so hard to get a few decent match up. A get Eddie and Frank want to build up fighters yet but fans font wnat see fights that are 95 to 5 in one fighter favour it can't help fighter ether ie yarde fighting poor opposition to then face a kovalev it insane
