Read that Jermain Taylor is ducking the champ and is now entertaining a fight with Jean Pascal on SHOWTIME in march.

    :hey

I think the Pascal fight is a prelude to Froch, who I understand has an injury. Good move on Taylor's part: another fight with a more live opponent at a new weight, go after the belt and if he wins, attempt to unify with the top dog and establish lineage.

Sorry TS, Taylor's history speaks of a lot of things, but ducking is NOT among them.

My understanding is that Froch is out with an injury and that Taylor is his mandatory. If this is the case, nothing wrong with a fight against Pascal to keep busy and become more acclimated to a fairly new weight.

if froch aint fit to fight that is fair enough but if both fighters are ready to go fighting pascal is a duck would you agree with that.

Yeah, I'd agree, but like I said, Taylor doesn't have anything close to a history of ducking anyone. Just the opposite as a matter of fact.

Taylor should fight Froch, this is the second time Taylor doesn't wanna fight him. It's turning into a duck situation.

I think it's a smart move on JT's part. JT doesn't need to rush into the big boys at SMW after only 1 fight at SMW. Let him take on another solid SMW and see further where he's at. Well, he's going to dominate Pascal. We already know that. :good

I think the Froch injured til June stuff maybe isn't true. It comes from a website run by Kessler's agent.

Ah well, let Froch-Taylor simmer. Surely Froch could do with an average type of fight just to get him settled into his title. Maybe get Stieglitz or Murat out of the way.

And if Pascal beats Taylor, I wouldn't say no to Froch-Pascal 2.
