I don't think he will be the same in boxing even if he recovers. Taylor should retire. And as you said, continue eating and live healthy.
He needs to retire if the stories coming out about his condition are true - which they appear to be..
taylor should retire for his own safety and bring in bute so we can unfi all the belts and get the ring belt in
Taylor looked to be in pretty good shape. He was doing the best he could. I have always said even when he beat Bhop(I thought Bhop won both) that Taylor was a great athelete but only a good fighter with a lot a flaws that would be exposed by a young solid fighter. The writing was on the wall several fights ago. I knew that a big strong punching MW would KO him because he let a much smaller Kasim Ouma and the light hitting Winky Wright push him backwards. I think he should retire as now like in his last few fights he will only be fighting to survive and not win and he cant even survive anymore.
If he has no brain damage I would support him going on, at least against Ward though I would fear for him against Kessler
Dude.. This was posted without knowing Taylors health atm. Offcourse now that we know that This content is protected Dont make me look like a selfish shithead! If Taylor comes out 100% ready totaly healthy, I cant c why he shouldnt beat the rest in the tournement.. Who else could hurt the Taylor we saw? Only AA, cuz AA's boxing style dosnt suit Taylor.
Ok sure lets let a young man with a family get killed for no good reason. JT is going to get hurt in there hell he got seriously hurt last night.
It's official. I said this before. Please believe me. Taylor should not fight another fighter unless they are black. Put him in with a white guy and he goes to sleep.:dead Seriously he should hang it up. The next KO won't be in the last round.
AA, froch and kessler. point is that taylor clearly has more to lose than to gain anymore. i think a lot of people will get a bad feeling if he goes in against kessler especially.
JT should not retire unless he medically needs to. He fought a great fight. He still has defensive liabilities but is still fighting at a very high level. He can beat a lot of fighters on any given night.
JT could indeed beat a lot of fighters on any give night, just not any fighters who are world class. He should finish up the tournament, and if his last performance is repeated, retire.
He should fight Ward at the very least IMO. That is a fight he can only lose by decision so the risk of being badly hurt isn't as high, and a win there might really invigorate him. What is his scheduled third fight? If its Kessler, he aint winning that. But Froch or Dirrell are winnable for the guy still.
