I think Taylor has too many options and more versatile. OD counters well when others fall in or over extend but I see little in feinting, mixing speed and only right hand seems a threat. Power in both but left is so wide and wild even at level he's been fighting I've yet to see him land flush left hook unless opponent is hurt. I think if Taylor takes jab away he'll be more polished, accurate and has bettter timing mid-short range where OD has shown nothing so far. Taylor has to be wary of right hand on way in but he has the feints and can double treble the jab to get close. I think Taylor breaks him down inside for stoppage late. But OD's power has to be respected. Technically they are worlds apart though.
Pretty much agree with you here. See so many polls having this as 50-50 or OD as favourite but I just don't see how, other than the fact OD has been on TV more
I understand why people pick OD but it's ones convincing themselves he's more skilled. If Taylor can handle a shot, it'll become one sided. If not, he'll either box way to UD through caution or get stopped. But skill set wise, I honestly don't think it's even remotely close. But I'll never forget Groves-Anderson. Groves superior boxer with power vs power, well schooled but limited Anderson. Kenny was outclassed for 2-3 rnds and one shot turned it into a fight and Groves scraped through. I'm respectful of OD but still maintain he's not KO'd anyone more impressive than Taylor other than blown up featherweight who had been stopped or hurt multiple times over. Scarpa didn't blink until 11th rnd body shot and OD looked ragged trying to up tempo. I question how much of Taylor people have actually seen. Great style match up, i really cannot wait.
Really looking forward to fight. I must be the only Scotsman who sees this as a really close fight and I do. If I had to put neck on block I would go for Taylor in a close tight fight, but would not be surprised if Ohara wins. I would be surprised if Taylor won with ease like many are predicting. Respect to both guys for taking fight, great to see and regardless both can have a bright future.
We are all looking forward to this fight as there are question marks over both fighters, but i am going with Taylor on this one. Both are good fighters, but Taylor is the more polished of the two, O'hara may be a puncher, but Taylor isn't exactly feather fisted himself.
Taylor mid rounds. Don't understand the gushing over Davies. Seems Limted and very crude to me, on top of this his delusion is nearing mental health issue status. Don't think there's a more dislikable fighter active currently. Tony sims also stating that Davies would beat any 140 fighter in the world is absolutely hilarious aswell. Give me some of what he's in about for the weekend please lol.
Taylor mid/late KO too slick too many tricks up his sleeve, OD very good at what he does but will come unstuck here #levels
**** me lol. That's tells you ever everything you need to know about his knowledge of the sport. Quite worrying actually.
