I didn't want to say this because I have a lot of respect for Derry Matthew's...but just because a fighter is shot to pieces it doesn't mean he can't go down fighting, however, Derry ended up almost submissive in the corner trying to avoid further punishment. The manner of that defeat from a very proud man was more devastating than getting sparked out imo.

 

Quite possibly, but because of the context it's hard to say if that was because Davies was that good or because Derry was that done. But I guess that's why this weekend is happening. I'm travelling up for the fight so I'll either be a very smug forum member on Monday or suspiciously quiet

 

Game plans folks? Taylor & OD, what did you take from public work out & weight in? Taylor might move early, more than I suspected. He could box 2-3 different ways, OD has to find the big punch but if he loads up too much & finds himself off balance he will be countered.

It's intriguing, I can't wait. Great fight ahead, need more of these domestic scraps.

Rumours on the general that Taylor's chin isn't up to par. If it isn't, OD is definitely a fighter than can expose it.

 

To be honest i havent seen enough of either fighter to give an opinion plus they havent been tested. I would say regarding the eyetest Taylor looks better.

Unfounded! May be true but why would Cyclone pitch a 9-0 prospect with chin issues in with a banger when they have invested so much in him? Take him down British Title route & get in there with Nurse or someone who can't punch. It's playing out well, questions are being set. On Saturday night we get some answers.

 

Don't know what this opinion can be based upon. To my knowledge he's ever been knocked down amateur or professional and he fought guys in the amateurs of a higher caliber than Davies.
