Will someone who is picking Froch to win this please tell me what he brings other than power that make him a favorite in your eyes to win this fight?

Until proven otherwise, I consider him only slightly better than Jeff Lacy, who also brought power. I think Froch is smarter and picks his spots a little better, but his defense is worse than Lacy's (who ate jabs and power punches all night) and he is not even as quick.

So tell me, what significant advantages does Froch bring over what Lacy brought that make him take odds in this fight? You'd better come with a list, because Lacy got absolutley schooled.

  3. Have you Yannke doodles who are predicting Froch to get KO'd in 7-9 actually seen his fights other than Pascal ?? He's not the the best boxer by any means... but he has an iron chin and has quick hands.... yes he leaves his hands low but his chin covers for that

  4. I think he is alot quicker than ppl give him credit for... he has some very quick 1-2 combos to the head and body.... I don't think he was very impressive against Pascal (he was head hunting imo) and got drawn in to a brawl he didn't need to get in.

    Froch will Ko Taylor.

Taylor made hard work of lacy, I think Taylor of a few years back schools Froch though.

I just cant see Froch being troubled by Taylors power, but I can very much see Froch being outboxed at times and even schooled a bit but eventually getting the KO late on we all know about Taylors stamina and that will be his undoing against Froch imo.

  7. I agree, but I also think Froch is a lot smarter than Margo

Wow! Just 24 hours ago Mayorga pulled out to make us feel sad and here's a great fight to forget that match-up. Nice!

Did you even see the fight? Taylor landed something like 50% of his shots on Lacy, had him wobbling several times, and only got touched about 75 times himself.

    How was that hard work?

Because after calzaghe lacy turned in to utter shite ? even manfredo went the distance with him ?

I think Froch would KO/TKO lacy with ease is my point here.

If slappy Joe had lacy wobbled on several occasions i'd bet my life Froch would KO him.

So much for the completely moronic Euro fans who actually thought JT was "ducking" Froch. :nut Shows you how much they know about Taylor.

    Taylor wide UD.

Lacy has never been stopped; going the distance with him doesn't mean you made hard work of it.

In that case, Calzaghe made hard work of him too.

And it's really easy to say that Froch would KO/TKO Lacy based on Lacy being wobbled by both Calzaghe and Taylor when Froch has never even had a whiff of the level of talent that Lacy's losses have come against.

Keep in mind that Froch couldn't even KD Pascal, who'd been hurt in his previous fight by the ATG Omar Pittman. So predicting that he'd "KO/TKO with ease" is a bit presumptious.

Yup, it's a real possibility if Taylor beats Froch and Joe decides to carry on.

    From a front page poster:

on the boxingtalk website, greg leon the "advisor" to allen greene states that taylor vs greene is a done deal. i much prefer taylor vs froch but i'm not convinced until it's official

Of course as I recall, Leon is somewhat of an ass.
