Taylor Wants Catterall Rematch

no issue that mate hate the keyboard warriors on here never threw a punch in ring life in a fight someone could hurt them back criticise top level fighters may lost a few bouts. Embarrassing. Never liked froch myself but apart from ward at 168 he was unreal same with Haye at cruiser not a fan but he dominated. May not like or what like but respect what achieved unfortunately times we live in no respect at all sad tbh

I may not like people or teams support or things they like beliefs but won't stop me respecting them.

 

Haye dominated lol news to me lost against old man and was floored against boxers who rubbish or average

 

Guys definitely got a bit of psycho in him which isnt the worst thing in regards to his boxing. Just needs to cut out the silly comments on social media and try and have a pr team that makes him more of likable. Saying that if he wins the fights then really who cares. Plenty of boxers have said and done crazy things. Some of mike tysons quotes make taylor look like a choir boy.
Catterall did great in the first fight but taylor looked nothing like he normally does. If taylor brings anything near his A game then catterall loses. Taylor is elite and one bad performance doesnt change that.
Also all hibs boys are neds lol

 

Having rewatched the first fight i scored it 113-113. Very close fight, if you watch it with the biased sky commentary you will think catterall won easily but with american commentary its pretty even. I think catterall maybe edges it if i had to pick one side but there isnt much in it. Catterall spends alot of the fight clinching and holding onto taylor especially in the last three rounds which doesnt come across well. The point deduction was maybe slightly harsh on catterall as well which probably made ppl feel that he had been robbed because without that point deduction catterall wins on my scorecards.
Expectations of catterall were very low and most thought he had no chance. I think him doing better than expected made alot of ppl think he won easily as they wrere expecting a complete demolition job by taylor.
Going to be great to see the rematch if it happens as both fighters have a point to prove.

 

yeah I’ve watched it back a few times and feel Catterall deserved the w but it was close.Sky were outrageous in their it was the worst robbery ever committed narrative.we’ll see if there’s the same energy the next time one of their own gets a gift decision.

I scored rounds 2, 5, 7, 9, 10 to Taylor but rounds 11 & 12 I felt could go either way

I think Catterall boxed the better and looked the more composed. He looked like he landed the cleaner shots but as said previously, I don't think Catterall really went to rip the titles away (that doesn't mean I didn't score him as the winner but is where I can see some debate)

I wouldn't see a problem with anyone scoring rounds 11 & 12 either way.
I did score those rounds to Catterall but think they were debatable.
If someone scored the first 10 rounds the same as I did and 11 & 12 to Taylor, they would have it as a draw

Will have to watch again to see if I got swept up in the moment

 

Was there live too. Had it 113-112 Taylor but no issue with it going to Catterall by the same score but the way Sky were banging on you’d think it was a 12 round shut out.

 

When Katie Taylor got a lucky decision over Persoon in New York you had Nelson saying sometimes you need a bit of luck and Bellend saying how just because Persoon did better than everyone thought doesn’t mean she won etc.

 

Persoon won by a far wider margin than Caterall - Taylor's face at the end said it all, she gave her all, totally exhausted and certainly lost that fight.

 

Wow. Having read this I think I’m from another planet. I’ll have to watch again. I thought he boxed his head off and so did everyone on here straight after.

 

Struggled to give K Taylor more than 3 rounds... rumour has it Persoon was going to call the police like Catterall then realised she was already a copper and would be for the foreseeable after the Matchroom shafting robbed her of future £££.

 

I scored close for Catterall but could see some debate, see how I scored above

Catterall definitely looked the better more composed boxer and often landing the cleaner eye catching shots but there were times when I didn't think he was doing much at all and Taylor was working
I thought Catterall seemed nervous and not looking to rip the title away (I know it's scored on a round by round basis) but just trying to do enough and although scoring for Catterall I can see some debate
I wouldn't have had a problem with it being a draw or very close either way

 

Not sure if this a thread full of Scotsmen or people who DKSAB.
