Taylor might not have the marquee name on his resume but he blitzed through a division in a ridiculously short time and became undisputed in 18 fights. Faced undefeated fighter after undefeated fighter, ducked nobody, and all without a major promoter too for most of it.

Leaving the UK’s best trainer in McGuigan didn’t help and he lost motivation once becoming undisputed. Yes he’s not been great recently and burnt out quickly but he’s had an amazing career and is one of the UK’s best.

Not me because I've been telling everyone for years how big Crawford is

I told everyone before he fought Madrimov that not only wasn't it the size mismatch everyone naively believed it was going to be but that Crawford would at worst weigh the same as Madrimov or even weigh more and once again, for the millionth time, Serge was proven 100% correct

Berlangy, Mung, and Scull are binmen

You saying Spence is "light years" better is just laughable you may think he is better but he is not levels above him that is just plain hating on Taylor.
Prime Prograis and Ramirez is better than any win on Spence's resume.
Name one A+ win Spence has?

What A+ win does Taylor have? Brook and porter are far better than anyone Taylor ever beat.

I never said Taylor had any A+ wins I said his wins over undefeated Prograis and Ramirez are better than any win Spence has.
Brook was coming off having his orbital bone broken by GGG and moving back down to 147 he was compromised. Porter was already shopworn having lost to Brook and Thurman and going life and death with Ugas and Garcia. Yes they are bigger names but it is all about context. The only A+ fighter Spence fought was Crawford and he absolutely mopped the floor with Spence in embarrassing fashion.

People keep trying to downplay becoming undisputed in 18 fights

Which is 3 fights before Spence even won a world title and 10 before he became undisputed

And 5 fights before Crawford even won a world title and 14 before he became undisputed

And as I said earlier, Spence forged a career cleaning out 147 of its 140 pounders and 135 Mikey, barely facing any legit punchers, and only facing two career 147 pounder champions in his entire career and only defending against one throughout his six year reign.

He's being gassed up for beating a damaged goods Brook who was coming off a bad beating, a stoppage loss, coming back down from 160 after bulking up to fight up there, and a terrible eye injury and gruesome surgery to repair it when Brook suffered the exact same injury against him which was caused by a head clash in round 8 which completely changed the complexion of the fight

Taylor is being crucified for beating a 26-0 JCR, 24-0 Rougarou, 29-1 Postol, 19-0 Baranchyk, 26-0 Catterall (very controversial), 22-0 Martin,16-0 Khongsong, 15-0 Ohara, 39-5 Vazquez in just 19 fights, all of whom bar Vazquez are career 140 pounders and many are big punchers but Spence is being glorified for cleaning out 147 of its 140 pounders, 135 Mikey, and generally facing featherfists and average punchers at best, and beating damaged goods Brook and Porter but who has Brook beaten really apart from Porter? Go look at his resume

And Porter is another guy who barely fought any legit punchers his size, beat up 140-135 pounders Paulie, Broner, Danny, Ugas, Alexander, Julio Diaz and he lost to almost all the top 147 pounders he fought albeit competitively

I think a prime Taylor was very good not great. I was a big fan but he came along at just the right time. The top contenders at the weight were good, entertaining fighters. He made the most of his window of opportunity.

Thing is Spence avoided any dangerous offensive fighters. The biggest puncher he beat was a past it Danny Garcia. At least Baranchyk and Prograis were explosive hitters.

Postol is supposedly a great win for Crawford but not for Taylor

But Crawford beat an undefeated Postol whereas Postol had 1 loss to a supposed great fighter in Crawford when he fought Taylor

But Crawford was 28-0, was fighting in his 7th world title fight, had fought a bunch of world class opponents before, and had been 12 rounds x 2 and 10 rounds a few times, whereas, conversely, Taylor had only had 12 fights, 0 world title fights, had only fought one world class opponent who was past their prime, and had never been past 9 rounds before

Also, Crawford stunk the joint out vs Postol even though he was 5lbs heavier than him and Postol isn't a puncher

If Crawford gets so much extra credit for beating an undefeated Postol and everyone who subsequently beat Postol after he did gets way less for doing so, presumably because Crawford ''ruined'' Postol, then pray tell why doesn't that same rule apply with Taylor beating undefeated versions of JCR, Rougarou, Barranchyk, Martin, Ohara, Khongsong, and Catterall?

Postol is Crawford's best win in 41 fights over an able-bodied opponent :deal:

Spence fought Thurman’s left overs and had a tougher time with Porter and Garcia than Thurman did.
Thurman most likely would’ve beaten Spence.
