I somewhat agree w/ you. I too think Abraham is overrated. I also think Pavlik tko's AA within 8.

Yeah i'm sure that Jt is going to be better than Abraham outbox him outwork him bla bla bla and he will get K.O brutally once again in the end. Abraham is a hard and accurate puncher and outworking is not always enough to win. But fortunatly will see the truth when the tournament starts. One can never know maybe you are right.

That is the big difference. We will KNOW if Taylor can beat Abraham simply because they actually BOX each other. Not with Kelly Pusslik who will surely KO god, Hulk, the Terminator T-1000 and both Klitschkos at once in the ring, if you endure listening to his fans and relatives and camp team from Youngstown.

Of course the Terminator is not well known enough in the US to fight him, god shamelessly priced himself out (that old fart demanded $500k to fight THE Kelly Pavlik !), and the Klitschkos didn't want to drop their belts and get themselves a mandatory position at middle (so they clearly RUN from Pavlik !!!), so Pavlik had to take a fight with all-time-great P4P queen Regina Halmich at a catchweight of 175.

jt and aa is an interesting matchup. they both have their own set of question marks. taylor seems to have stamina issues and when pressed for a whole fight seems to fade. However, aa may not have the type of workrate to make taylor gas. on top of that, aa hasnt fought anyone at jt's level. that being said, aa obviously has the pop to take jt out and i don't see jt stopping aa inside the distance. jt isnt the best finisher and aa seems to be able to take a beating. i'm a fan of both guys and will be pulling for jt but either way a good guy is gonna win.

also factor in that this is aa's chance on the big stage in a new weight class so he wants to put his best foot forward and for jt, it may be his last chance to live up to the hype that was around him at mw so he will want to bring his best as well. i'm excited.

Yeah sure, AA can be easily outworked. Especially by a guy with an OVERWHELMING workrate like Taylor has, right?
For god's sake the guy throws even less then Abraham does, and certainly with less effect.

AA will beat JT by mid round KO. I think JT still has great skills, I just don't see him hurting AA. Even though JT may be ahead after 5 rounds on points, AA will gain his usual confidence in the middle rounds after realizing he has not been hurt by using his turtle defense, and then explode on JT, catching him unawares. I just don't see this going the distance.

So far, nobody has outworked Abraham for more than six rounds. Agreed, he never faced someone on Taylor's level of skills, but Taylor isn't exactly the incarnation of ring intelligence and focus. Abraham easily destroyed Miranda, while Taylor fought hard to win a decision against a shot Lacy. Both Miranda and Lacy are very similar fighters and probably on a similar level. Abraham has an unreal chin, if he can't be knocked out with a briken jaw and while losing a quart of blood, Taylor's punches won't hurt him much. Abraham only needs a few good moments to turn a fight around and to mentally destroy an opponent. Will he get those moments against Taylor? Very likely.
