Yarde has just been announced as the chief support to Williams vs Smith 2 on Nov 11th, against an as of yet undecided opponent.

Any ideas or thought on who this may be? Can't see it being anyone decent really given the short amount of time available to train for the bout.

    Thoughts?

He's bashed up enough Hungarian taxi drivers. Maybe he will move onto Romanians next?

Can't see it being anyone good. If Warren keeps this bumfest up then chances are Yarde will be found out when he steps up.

Just to think he could have already fought Hosea Burton now for several times his biggest ever purse, and if he had won he would be the mandatory for Buglioni. As it stands he's still in no mans land. Perplexing business decision.

That whole avoiding burton and fighting a bum thing was embarrassing!

Yarde probably isn't fighting on this card - I understand their after a vacant WBO title shot for Dec 9 at the Copperbox

I'd be VERY impressed if this happens considering Yarde would most likely have to fight Sullivan Barrera, despite not having beat a British level opponent yet.

    Current WBO rankings

    1 Olexander Gvozdyk (NABO) UKR
    2 Sergey Kovalev RUS
    3 Sullivan Barrera CUB
    4 Marcus Browne USA
    5 Artur Beterbiev RUS
    6 Enrico Koelling GER
7 Anthony Yarde (WBO Europe) UK
    8 Karo Murat ARM
    9 Manuel Ceballos (Latino) MEX
    10 Mike Lee USA

    1. Gvozdyk is fighting 4. Browne for the WBC belt
    2. Kovalev is fighting Shabranskyy
    5. Beterbiev is fighting 6. Koelling for the IBF belt

So #3 Barrera vs #7 Yarde.

I can see your logic here but still can't see it happening.

Yarde is going to get body bagged at world level without stepping up first. Can he even go 12 rounds with that muscle?

Beating up British bums like Burton and Buglioni as he would do isn't going to prepare Yarde for Sullivan Barrera etc IMO. I would like to have seen a Buglioni fight as part of the journey but I'm not interested in Burton at all so I get where their coming from with dismissing that. I would actually like to see some creative promoting from Warren - put Yarde in win somebody like a Lucien Bute or even Chad Dawson that would be ideal for me. Former top fighters with something to offer for a few
Rounds before they get ironed out.

I think Warrren is trying to swing the title shot now against somebody like Brown of Murat etc.

Yarde is in Budapest currently speaking to Taxi drivers and nightlub bouncers who have boxed a bit, and can fight him at short notice.

A Hungarian must have gang banged Yarde's mother, sisters and cousins and him once as a boy otherwise this is simply not natural. This is the most over kill of one nation of people I have ever seen in boxing.

I see Sullivan Barrera is now fighting on Kovalevs undercard...
So that's kovalev, Bivol, Barrera and Betterbiev & Gvozdyk all out of the way

I like Yarde but if he fights Barrera without any step up fight, he will get stretched out.

From the WBO rankings, I wouldn't argue with a Murat fight to be honest. Levels better than anyone he has been in with so far. In an ideal world I would like to see Yarde in with a tough domestic guy like Ajisafe or Burton.
