Of course GGG's prime is over - he's thirty ****ing five! Canelo is immensely more talented than Jacobs....but his style and body isnt suited to beating golovkin. Corner throws in the towel on him. This inevitable. Will look remarkably similar to the Lemieux fight. Jacobs was taller, longer, bigger, employed lots of movement and therefore was able to survive. Canelo is not any of those things. He's a good counter puncher and combination puncher but none of it will matter because he's going to be speared to death by that GGG jab.
Great post this... The relentlessness is gone to some extent. He was that good prime, that even fading now hes still just about the best. I think he'll probably even further slipping by the time the canelo fight gets made, if it happens. I know styles makes fights, but he was different animal 4/5 fights ago. He cant keep up the tempo as much and stands off longer now. Great fighter that never had the defining fight when he was prime. Canelo imo might snatch it now the longer it takes to make, or some ***** like Eubank jnr, someone with youth.
That depends on how it looks. If its very close, might be difficult for 3G to get the decision. But if it's pretty clear who won (Assuming 3G in this example), I think he'd get the nod. But one never knows anymore with our judges.
Nope. The Jacobs fight didn't change anyone minds really . Triple G is still very much capable of stopping the former 140 pounder Canelo.
Yeah sounds like you're trying to convince yourself. If you look at history, it's not common for good fighters to knock each other out in these lower weight divisions. A decision is likely so get ready.
Triple G can beat up Canelo for 8 rnds straight and score a knockdown. The judges still won't give him the decision. So the answer is No. Triple G can only win this fight by a knockout.. And he knows this himself by now.
Canelo is a more skilled version of Lemieux but without the firepower to keep GGG off him. TKO for GGG after 8 rounds.
He's always fought like that. Even his early fights, he let the other guy get some stuff off, it's like he's working out the other guy's speed, rythmn and power. Then he drops the hammer.
Nope . You the one that iz in denial here judging from that comparison you made earlier saying the Chocolatito fight was a clear loss but the Jacobs fight was an outright robbery. All you did right there was exposed yourself as a hater with that comment. You are in denial that the whiteboy iz the real deal . I dont have to convince myself of anything . Its called Common Sense . Triple G is one of the hardest punchers in the middleweight division , he has enough firepower to take out Canelo who is not a true middleweight to begin with.
I'm very confident that Golovkin destroys Canelo. Ginger doesn't have the size or the power to dictate terms to Gena. I think the fight starts slow, with GGG leading with his sweet jab, and Canelo looking to counter. By the mid rounds Golovkin realises Canelo has nothing for him and steps on the gas. I see a late stoppage.
I think it be a SD split decision. Canelo has great defense and can counter you very well. His counters have snap. GGGs defense is underrated also. He made Jacobs (a faster boxer) miss a lot or at least didn't get too many clear shots on target. Their might be a knockdown but no KO. Both will be cautious in the first 3 rounds. It's normal when two monsters get into the ring
I said choco was a close but clear win, not loss. Fans in this thread are showing that they fear it going to the scorecards including you. You just proved me right, that's not being a hater. ggg has to win by KO so that's what you have to believe will happen. Very simple. I'm saying these type of matches go to the scorecards. ggg isn't fighting bum in this matchup.
Ggg is the same as 2 years ago, ggg was peaked in his mid 20's, don't be fooled by the Jacob's fight. Jacob's style of don't try to win just try not getting ko'd was impossible to look good against Plus Jacob's was HUGE, with lots of reach and fast legs, canelo is a better fighter than Jacob's but he doesn't have any of the same advantages Jacob's has. After investigating last sat fight in depth, that was a GREAT win by ggg and he showed great skills both offensively and defensively . I'm sure the cockmaster crew aren't capable of seeing the win for what it truly was. Never do we see one of the very top fighters in the sport have the deck completely stacked against him. To beat DJ clearly showed the elite level he's at, that was a very focused, massive Jacob's who literally couldn't had fought any better
