£20 an hour is the going rate. I'm doing a course hopfully in the new year with boxing4schools. I'm doing a basketball course which will get me £20 an hour
Relentless, mandana, I'll get you all the info I can on the course I'm doing when I've got all the details. It's one of those jobs that you can build a decent client base and get more money, but I know, if I do this course, that I'll be on £20 an hour
The only thing is, the way it works, you may only be working for a few hours a day, like at 8am before school, lunchtime, afternoon p.e lesson & afterschool, but your not guaranteed to work all of them hours. It's about building your client base etc. But I want to take this risk because I'd rather be doing something I love than sit on my arse all day in a shitty office!
Cheers LP and Peter i'd appreciate at that, i'm already in coaching so i'm accustomed to the hourly rates. That's very good money i must say, i do football and that's £15 an hour.
Any age mate, i do a Brentford Development Centre for 6 & 7 year olds ...i know...shocking age but it's so dog eat dog out there it's crazy the stories i hear about scouts and coaches and things they do to get a kid. Most of my work is with differing ages mate, I do a session with 5 year olds and then go to a session with 18 year olds. I used to do Kickz which was government funded to get kids off street and that would be a little lower then £15. As Peter says it's about building your client base. I been at it for a while and slowly but surely it's getting more and more full time as i go along. The good thing is once you get a kushti line of work you only have to do 3-4 hours a day and maybe a weekend soccer school and your doing nicely.
with the knowledge on this forum i think that would be brilliant idea. I remember my boxing coaches were useless. Some crap i was taught as a kid....mind blowing atsch.
cant say the same about my coaches, they were great i was a ***** when i started boxing, used to be afraid to get hit and even hit back! got my ass kicked in sparring a few times and they knew exactly what pace to take me till i became 100% confident in the ring, great guys.
Yeah the white fella is Gilly he's my boss and fat fella is Ian. Nice fella. Gilly put me and few coaches on the Abae leaders course. I think he looking to get us to deliver sessions in school at some point in future.
