You totally missed the point, that weight was for 50/50 split of the money.

The whole problem here is Ward demanding the smaller , more popular guy to move up yet demanding a greater share of the purse.

Noone thought the fight would happen at 164, K2 was making a point. Is it really so difficult to understand?

Um no, it was not for 50/50. You really think he would have got 50/50 with Froch?

He wanted to go up for a bigger paycheck, that's it.

    I'm very sure Ward suggested 50-50, 168.

Ward is the champ GGG currently the flavor of the month ,let him get tested before he demands more of the split from the champ !

That would be a decent plan if not for the fact that Cotto will never fight him and Canelo won't fight him for atleast 2 more years.:deal Anyone with common sense already know this. If Canelo beats Cotto a rematc or the WBC will not make GGG his mando the WBC wants Canelo to be their champ and if Cotto beats Canelo a rematch or he will either retire or seek a fight with PBF, this is very easy to see and I've said this for some time now.

What was not for 50/50? K2's 164 weight public offer was for 50/50

What are you even talking about?

And of course Froch would have netted more money, and no it would not have been 50/50 but it still would have got K2 a lot more money than fighting a 160lber.

But the fight was make-able if Froch had decided against retiring. Pushing for the fight was not an empty gesture.

You should tell your boy Ward to stop being such a Diva and crooning over how much money he makes for fighting Paul Smiths because it warps his sense of reality when he has to negotiate a real fight with someone who isnt a financial non factor.

    Being a diva, right.

"Let's fight at 164" :rofl:lol:. He definitely ran for the hills as soon as Mr.Ward's name popped up

Most fair would be 168, 50/50

There's a reason people refer to GGG as Bum-Luv-Kin. :yep

Ward's resume trumps GGG's 10 fold!!! It's not even close!!! :deal

My non-biased opinion as a Ward fan:

Ward is not a draw no matter how good he is. From an economic standpoint, Golovkin's people are correct with their trajectory of his career. Golovkin, for all intents and purposes will defeat both David and the winner of Cotto/Canelo. The Cotto/Canelo winner is an enormous draw with a giant fiscal upside that Ward just can't provide. This coupled with the fact that fighting Ward for short money and the fact that he will almost certainly lose to Ward will end the gravy train and mystique of Golovkin. His people, at least economically, are making the wisest choice for his career.

Ward's best move is to fight twice as often for half the money so HBO can afford to bring him back against a couple of decent names to get his momentum back.

Do you realize you are a fan of the b side guy and crying desperately for your guy to get a chance at the Big draw A side? How does it feel to be a PacTA RD Pimp? Yep, think about it, you've gone full Pacta rd around here, congratulations.
All hail Gennady "Money" Golovkin. GGG will decide who and when he fights, he's the boss and it's all business.

Calling him money but he's older than Ward and has not made as much as him nor has 1/10th of his resume in terms of quality. :rofl
