Wow, they've got Bami 1/2 favourite.
I'm thinking money on Dave. Bami is crap, always has been.

Ridiculous - do wonder about boxings governing bodies sometimes. They seem to bend the rules for some and not others.

You are 100%. As you know because of the historical merit of the belt I value the WBC titles highly but how can they guarantee Dr Vitali Klitschko a shot at the title anytime he comes out of retirement. It is not fair or logically however I have realised such considerations are not necessarily at play. While as you very well know I am not a fan of Colin Lynes why he could not be allowed by the authorities to defend both titles against Barnes who happens to be both British and European is beyond me. It really is.

So soon after his last bout?

Well done Barry, keep busy and that title will be yours again :)

Olu - we agree on something in relation to Lynes at last! :good

Whats happening with Ajose? Is he back in training? When is he likely to fight next? Any opponents in mind?

We are back in training for a contest in April for the WBC International title assuming the champion turns up which is always a big "if" when they realise who they are facing. Ajose is now ranked number 7 in the WBC ratings. We are targeting the mandatory position so that the lad in Sheffield will be forced to face him so that we can change his name from Junior to Senior.

Yep with Ajose at 7 and Lynes at 10 the two guys may end up getting an eliminator against each other.

As you know dwilson we would take the fight tomorrow but obviously cannot speak for Colin. By way of example Enzo Maccarinelli fought David Haye even though he was going to get stopped and for that he will always have my respect but Colin Lynes is not bothered about proving who is the better man.

I think Colin Lynes is the third best 140lb'er in UK at the moment, and would beat any of these guys you are talking about IMO.

In terms of this fight, if Bami turns up in the same form as his last fight, I see him getting schooled.

If you are going to stir up the Ajose/Lynes debate I suggest you hang around to continue the discussion as Olu and I have practically exhausted the subject!

Barmes will shine tonight.... he's the underdog but he might just be a future star.
