Your views on 'confidence builders' are fair enough, but Hatton isn't the first and won't be the last boxer to have one. It just seems to be more of a problem when he does it?

Its obvious what that fight is even to the 'huggers', its their choice whether to go or pay the PPV or not.

He would'nt go anywhere near Cotto.

I'm hoping Marquez puts a serious whooping on Pac this weekend because i think HBO really have a blown up flyweight in Hattons plans. :patsch

I really think that HBO have the balls to make this fight.
Let's have Vazquez vs De la Hoya at 154 while we're at it. :patsch

The WBU defenses are fair enough, there was quite a few too many of them. I don't find the guy arrogant at all, but still the fact of the matter is that he is by far the biggest pull in British boxing and is in a position to call the shots on most aspects of his career. I don't think its the end of the worlld (or the first time its happened in this situation) that he fights a guy like Lazcano after a fight like Mayweather.

I'm sorry but he is arrogant, he just disguises it with this facade of being a man of the people. He's arrogant in the sense that he thinks he can fool the public & that he expects us all to swallow his excuses.

You didn't find the fight exciting so you get to **** the thread up? And you're calling Hatton "arrogant"...oh, the irony....;)

You know I said that tongue in cheek. Seriously though, I agree the topic has been done to death but when he's being paraded about on TV & being hailed for his home coming it's inevitable certain factions will be riled.

i haven't come across many of these boxing-illiterate hatton fans before, but happened to be sat next to a couple of them at work today.

one of them was pissed off at hatton, saying he had been conned into thinking hatton could win and had spent a shitload going to Vegas and had put a couple of hundred quid on the hitman :patsch

the other thought hatton only lost because the referee would not let him fight! :patsch :patsch he also thought it was not fair of mayweather to stand side on and not allow himself to get hit cleanly :patsch :patsch :patsch

btw this isn't a reflection on all hatton fans...just a sizeable proportion of them.

They weren't conned at all, they were just terrible at judging a fighter and were duped because he beat Tszyu.

I can't believe that many went to Vegas at Christmas time too and didn't even have a fight ticket!
