I guess you'd get the same type of 'fans' for any boxer who has gotten mass appeal (or whatever you want to call it).

Well I have to admit I was (way) wrong. Barnes looked solid at the weight , although not quite what he once was and Bami was erghh......**** tbh .

In that last round you'd expect to see Bami swinging for the fences trying to knock Barnes out but he seemed more than happy to just last the round .

I fancy Lynes to regain his title whenever he and Barnes meet .

Colin is a big peg above those 2. He could see last night the deficienies from both men. Lynes isnt much of a puncher but his far busier and more accurate than both were last night.

In my opionion Barnes will beat Lynes.. I have seen the best and the worst of Barnes as I was at ringside in Manchester on a scouting mission to assess Hatton at his best against Kostya Tyzu when Barnes got stopped by Joshua Okine in Ghana for the Commonwealth title. I would pick Barnes over Lynes as his losses and draw have come against better fighters than Lynes such as Nuumbembee and Okine.

lol anyone considered that it may just have been a clash of styles.... It does occasionally happen that two excellent fighters look wank against each other.

I could maybe agree with that if Bami hadn't fought the 12th like he did , he didn't want that at all and seemed happy to last the distance and get his payday .

Exellent fight- good clash of styles. BM is tenacious enough to outpoint DB but its an excellent match and i'll be suprised if Barry can end it early... :good
