i dont like teddy atlas.... even before his bio, i saw him as fake.... and also just overdoes things... the way he talks and acts, just too over the top for me. then his bio came out and i knew i pegged him right.

The problem with Teddy is his just too self righteous. He does his thing his way doesn't listen to anyone really thinks his gods gift to boxing and his overwhelming enthusiasm for it all just boils over.As a trainer he was a failure. But his been around boxing all his life and is a very knowledgeable historian. Most of his stories are just hyperbole.Anyone fool hardy enough to take him seriously needs there head boiled.

He's also a hippocrite, since he comes off as moralist, yet is associated with drug dealers, porn dealers, mafia members, ect. He attended trial of drug dealer as show of support, and bought actor william de foe along with him to court. Dealer's name was Spiro (last name) He was convicted. Gues Atlas should have bought Pacino instead.

He recently worked corners with Tori Locasicio alongside him, while he was at same time doing fight braodcasts condeming crime and corruption. LoCasicio (sp?) is : son of John Gotti's co defendant that was convicted with him; was running aporn ring, and was steealing crdit card numbers from one of is porn sites. He was known criminal, but there he is, alongside Atlas all the time--along with others, such as Zef Mustafa, big time Bronx gangster (now in jail)

I've had shady friends, and a lot of peole do, or know some gangsters--but DON'T go ****ing on televsion every week condemning corrruption, pointing fingers, making accustations, and then do your own shady ****.

Teddy knows the game but he isn't the super badass know-it-all he makes him self out to be. His holier than thou attitude is wearing thin.

I'm pointing out things about him, all true. A few others have added stuff. Anything we said not true?

He did not spend six years with D'Amato, he was barley there 2 years. He did not discover Tyson (an incredible lie). But he let's it be in his bio on his site. He has lied so many times it's ridiculous, and, as I pointed out, regarding him and his past, he's A BIG TIME HIPPOCRITE. What's your interest in him?

I like how he acts tough for putting a gun in Tysons mouth. Mike was 15 years old, just a kid. And I don't care how big i am, I would be crapping my pants if I'm a kid with a gun being put in my mouth.

Good point. Atlas was about 26 years old at time.

  14. I haven't read the book but plan to someday, Atlas was from what i heard a good Amatuer fighter, and i like his passion on the Friday night fight's he calls it at as he sees it, and dosen't gloss anything.

You can't say he wasn't a good trainer hell he took Moorer to the top over a more talented Holyfield in 94!:deal Moorer would have lost that fight with anyone else but Atlas in his corner that night, Mike just didn't have the grit and heart Holy did..:nono

Two things: How was he good amateur fighter? He hardley fought, and against no on eany good. H ehad maybe 3 fights.

Second, Moorer needed Atlas like he needed a second assshole. Atlas needed him, before that fight Atlas whole rep wa sbuilt on him giving interviews on Tyson. Moorer would have doe better in my opinion with out having to fight Foreman AND his own trianer.

Mooer was tremendous boxer and champion at pro and amater levels before he even met Atlas.
