I don't know enough about these really old fighters I haven't seen enough of them.

But Ike Quartey had the hardest jab I've ever seen in lower weightclasses he deserves a mention.

I was always impressed with Winky Wright's jab aswell.

Ken Buchanan, Willie Pastrano and Luis Rodriguez were a few that immediately came to my mind on the subject.

Two near locks on the top 10 for me (probably would make my top five) that haven't had a mention are Ricardo Lopez and Floyd Mayweather. Lopez I generally hold to be the most overrated fighter on this forum who is not a heavyweight, but his ability with the jab is incredible. His jab is everything that Larry's jab was but it was longer vs his opposition. He dominated fights with it, messed people up with it, ran combination trains off it, but he was faster and longer than Holmes.

Floyd is just undeniable. Basically if your list doesn't stop at 1990 he needs to be on there, he's landing a quarter of his jabs consistently, his left hand was an absurdity in his final chapter.

His entire rationale for including Conn is that not enough of today's fans are familiar with fighters from yesteryear.

I'm sure there are things Teddy does well in regards to boxing, I just haven't witnessed them.

Next time quote the full post, I finished with saying I don’t agree with it” - my reaction to Atlas having Sonny Liston a mid tier HW champion in a list over guys Hearns, Canto, Lopez, Moore, Arguello etc is totally justifiable he plain sucks by comparison.

Like the silly fellow I am when I scribbled down a list featuring names like Holmes I missed guys like Luis who’d frog hop him most likely, Emile Griffith too - Joey Maxim I’ve got as an HM etc the most curious thing about TA’s list is Liston? He has a slow, mid tier HW champ with a hard but not overly varied or good left hand… SOMEHOW ahead of guys like Canto, B Graham, J Louis, B Ross, R Lopez etc ? - having Ali at 1# as well as Conn and Robinson on the list doesn’t make much sense either… Robinson’s most “lesser” weapon was his jab, other fighters have even commented on it. Ali was a HW (the least skilled division) who lost bouts / should’ve lost bouts because he was unable to take control of the fight with his jab, Conn is a great fighter too like the others but he isn’t even a “jabber” per say.
