I think he just threw Conn on there to score some nostalgist brownie points.

You can judge a fighter's jab on so many parameters. You have guys like Wlad who utterly relied on his jab for everything and then a guy like Duran whose jab was educated to the highest degree but had many other tools. Wlad jabbed his way to barely losing a round for a decade, throwing in a right or left hook once his opponent was worn down. Prime Duran used a great hook to set up everything, every round from the get. Who had the better jab? Was it just the guy more reliant on it?

Pretty much every elite fighter is going to have a fine jab. Who fashions their game more around that one punch is a different question. And just because you rely on the jab doesn't make you a better jabber.

I would love to see Teddy do a list specifically for southpaw jabs.

Hey Mike, I understand that John Conteh had a great jab…I’ve been meaning to try and watch more of his fights.

Rose probably, mate. Fenech way up there with him. If we take Tszyu as Australian he's up there as well. Famechon easy top 5 imo. It's slim pickings. I'm impressed you mention Thompson.

He's a wannabe, always been nothing more than a pretend tough guy and he doesn't know boxing.

I was hoping to see Sot Chitalada creep in on the lower end haha but seriously there are so many fighters I'd pick over Conn - Canto, Quartey, Whitaker, Hearns, Foster, Conteh just to name a few.
