Ken Buchanan handled him pretty well but Laguna was a tough fellow and a legend in Pananma along with Ernesto Marcel and Peperment Frazier...Laguna was the best but below Duran for fighters coming out of Pananma...I saw the Buchanan fights and Ken won both I think the 2nd was a strong win for Ken

Yea, with the Laguna - Dejesus thing i think i meant there are similarities more than anything, stylistically though, there are differences also, Laguna more slick and probably a better out and out pocket man when he stays there, Dejesus better with combos of solid shots rather than flurrying imo.

On Buchanan, like i say, im big on him, think a lot of him in h2h terms and think he was a great lightweight plain and simple, so clever in the ring, and oh, what a ring general.

Yeh he was! I used to try to copy some of his style, but he was built different, and he could do the coolest moves. Clever like Pep in that way.

Well you have good taste in picking someone's style to attempt to emulate, thats for sure!

Dejesus had more of a Napoles thing going on.

Laguna was more like Luis Rodriguez or marcel.

There was a lot of stylistic overlap going on with technicians at the time really.

Good points, i think i really did look at the similarities rather than the styles of each.
