I think you'll find he doesn't make 160Ibs just fine...especially when he goes for swims in the sea

Might have been easier to simply say, "He's never beat Nick Diaz before."

yeah probably was pulver, sherk even had some success in his fight with bj too standing it was good but a lot of people have caught up to bj in terms of boxing and i think nick diaz is a far better boxer, that along with his size advantage i have diaz as the favourite, i wonder how the bookies have it

That was a few years ago against a reckless striker in a lower weight class.. Look at Penn's most recent fight because Fitch and Diaz share some similarities.

I'm worried about BJ's handspeed more than anything, but his mind seems to give up long before his body does. He can't pop that ***** in overdrive when need be.. Diaz may walk away with a victory in the last few minutes or round.

Either way, the victor deserves the next title shot.

Are you trying to imply that Diaz isnt a reckless striker? I think he is the epitome of it myself and I see similarities between the way he and Diego go about their business. Keep swinging, relie on your chin, and back guys up against the cage. If Diaz can turn this into a rock um sock um who falls over 1st contest, he will win

And I dont see any similarities between Fitch and Nick, apart from they are both lanky for the weight class. And BJ outwrestled Fitch for over half that fight, and Diaz cant wrestle at all

Well I assume you are referring to the Edgar fight when mentioning BJ's lack of speed. That's a bit silly Nick is much more hittable and not as fast as Frankie imo

I was implying that Penn's handspeed will be hard to overcome.. I don't think Diaz is reckless, just a little crazy to stand and attempt to walk down every opponent, but this seems to work for him. To be honest, I'm looking forward to the grappling and clinch game more than anything in this fight.

Avatar bet anyone? I live and die with my Diaz Brothers.

Penn will dissect Diaz standing. He is long but very slow and wide with his delivery. This fights not going to the ground, its too much of a wash.

Now if this was a 5 rounder, it would have been a toss-up. As of now Penn wins the battle of attrition.

nick is paying 4.75 for a stoppage win. not bad value for a welterweight fighting a lightweight. especially when that welterweight has stopped 9 of his last 10 opponents.

Diaz is a mentally stronger fighter than Penn. That to me is his big advantage. Penn should win but if Diaz can put him under pressure it wouldn't shock me to see Penn fold. I mean - has Penn ever fought back from a bad start to win? I can't win of one of the top of my head.

I think Penn is going to **** Diaz's face up and make that lisp a little more Tyson'esq. Complete and utter domination to remind people why BJ Penn is one of the greatest fighters to ever walk the face of the earth. He will lick the blood of the 209 and further cement his legacy.
