I don't have a problem with what he said. Sure it probably wasnt the smartest thing to say, but if that's how he feels and he's willing to stand behind his comments, then more power to him. You can't hound people for interviews and stick microphones in their faces every where they go and then get mad about what they say. The dudes a fighter, he doesn't need to be eloquent or articulate, he just needs to fight. I think anyone who has a problem with what he said really just has a problem with themselves and their own insecurities. Tbh, this will probably help him marketability wise... Teos largely been the forgotten small behind, behind tank, behind Devin, behind Garcia, even behind Loma who he already bested a long time ago now. He will surely have a target on his back now, and will have no shortage of guys looking to fight him, and tbh I think this villain role is something Teo could thrive in and probably even take out some of the top brass along the way
It will be interesting to see where both guys are. I think a better version of JT than faced Caterall needs to show and Teofimo as well needs to rediscover his form. Both have been drinking their own Kool Aid.
Mayweather once said that Arum and Top Rank was biased against black fighters and that they favored latin fighters. And now Teo with this trash. I think this race stuff is all bs i dont think it matters to Arum and Top Rank (it shouldnt)the only color they favor is the color of money.
Teo and his father haven't changed one bit since the Kambosos fight. If anything they have an even more insufferable attitude.
He's a mental midget who is incapable of introspection with pisspoor coping mechanisms, who's so deep in denial about the fact that he lost and should've lost, that it's warped his perception of reality. Now he's looking towards anyone he can find to foist blame onto. It's like a hybridized mixture of projection and transference. Which more often than not the case with most fighters who play the race card, no matter the race.
Teo is one of the dumbest MFers in boxing. He’s the new Victor Ortiz, just needs to sharpen his arborist knowledge
