There’s this absolute bollocks notion in boxing that you have to rip the belt away from the champion. If judging is fair, all you should have to do is win the fight like Jack clearly did.

Baby Benn got dropped twice, leathered, and still got gifted a decision.
    Ryder got robbed vs Smith.
Riakporhe gifted a decision vs a bum.. all off top of my head, are far worse than Taylor and Catterall.

    Doesn't suit the narrative though.

No, you've missed the point I was making JM.

I'm not saying that Catterall had to go above-and-beyond to snatch the titles from the champion in his own domain. I don't believe in that nonsense. Whoever wins should get the belts, end of, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm saying that Catterall had it in the bag then proceeded to lose because, with four or five rounds still to play for, he dropped the ball and let Taylor take over. He had it in his hands and he threw it all away.

Fair play to Taylor. He was good down the home straight and put pressure on Catterall but a champion would have held out and Jack simply didn't do that.

Hope Catterall gets the chance. He deserves it.
