Teo looked different tonight, And perhaps as fans we can be harsh or over critique a fighter but he seemed really sloggy in there, being slow, got hit a few times by an opponent with slow hands, within the first round he just seemed like he was getting tired by the look in his face & his foot work was slower & biggest one was his arms looking really short tonight in exchange's for someone with his stature, You would think being at a more comfortable weight he would have looked better than when he was at 135 atleast in those criteria's?
Starting to feel that way though perhaps it was just the ring rust tonight for Teo, But yeah agree & i predicted he wouldn't give Loma the rematch & would come up with any reason as to why not, you can usually tell with these sort of fighters who take their ball & ran off the single chance it's in their hands, By the way the way he was dancing all over the place was embarrassing or is that just me?
Close fight with a slight edge to Taylor. Need to see more from teo at 140 before picking him to beat Taylor.
I need to see Teo fight a couple times at this weight against better opposition before making any predictions. His opponent was basic, slow and very limited. It was obvious he was selected to give Teo a W in his first fight at the weight. Teo probably had more than a little rust because he made mistakes you don’t expect in a guy who is supposed to be a top fighter. He had his hands very low from the start, backed up in a straight line and layed on the ropes way too much for my liking. He could get away with it against a low skilled opponent but against any of the top guys at 140, those mistakes are going to cost him. Last night’s fight didn’t prove much to me. Teo can beat low level guys at 140, that was obvious to everyone, including oddsmakers who had him as a heavy favorite. I think he needs another low to mid level opponent before challenging any of the top guys because he’s not ready. On a positive note, Teo did not look small at 140. He was obviously a weight bully who could no longer boil down to 135 anymore. It’s good to see him fighting at his natural weight. If he steps up to a top fighter in his next fight, he’s going to have to fix many of the flaws he showed last night. His power isn’t going to bail him out at 140 because it appears to be average. Also, I’m a bit biased because I think he’s a punk with a big mouth like his scumbag dad. It’s hard to root for guys like that.
