Toney was weight drained and Hill was past his best.. that's the kind of thing you'd say if it was Crawford we were talking about.

The point I'm making is that while Roy Jones Jr didn't have the best resume at 168 head to head he's number 1 to me.

Similar to Crawford being greater head to head than in resume cause resume only gives you a small idea of head to head

As far as the Crawford/Porter fight goes ya it was competitive until Crawford took over in the 10th round

It's like the Roy Jones vs Montel Griffin first fight which was actually pretty even in rounds until Roy Jones took over.

When I think of a close fight I don't think of a 10 round KO in which Crawford was never hurt or ever in jeopardy of losing (being down a lot of rounds)

Madrimov was a close fight I agree

I couldn't be any more right.

    Leonard beats SRR easily too

    Okay.

    So you take it back.

    That’s cool.

Credit to you for admitting that.

Now are we in agreement, that any truly great fighter from any era, would be able to have had mixed success in any other era, simply depending on who they’d have matched up with stylistically?

That there is no specific cut off time?

That a great fighter from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s etc, could find some success today, depending on who they fought and how they matched up?

Are you in agreement with those 3 things?

    1. You aren’t right.

    2. No knowledgeable fan would ever have Leonard EASILY winning.

    3. The majority of people would have had Robinson as the favourite.

You can easily research this if you wish.

    Of course.

And that’s why I’m always logical and realistic, where I always say that they’d have had MIXED SUCCESS.

Any great fighter throughout history, would win and lose in any era, depending on who they fought.

But they all could have competed.

It’s in no way nostalgic to believe that some fighters from the 50’s etc, could beat some top level guys of today.

    To me, that’s not nostalgic.

    That’s realistic.

Easily is a stretch but I think Sugar Ray Leonard would win
