While I am not sure that they "beat the brakes off" Madrimov, I agree that Ortiz and Bohachuk would be very difficult opponents for the Uzbek.

Indeed, I could see a scenario in which Bohachuk, while perhaps down a round or two on the cards, stops Madrimov late.

Kavaliauskas was landing consistently on Crawford with no movement or set ups, even dropped him unofficially. Porter was doing the same thing and had a lot of success as well. Bud did adjust and stop them, but he struggled and got hit a lot in the process. Ortiz is bigger and does everything better than both of them, especially offensively. Think Ortiz beats him up for the majority of the fight, but has the chin and stamina to hang in there when Crawford adjust.

I've said this previously and both their fights at 154 IMO only strengthen my position

I disagree. EK had some success early because Crawford is a slow starter once he got in his groove it was easy work. A guy like madrimov will always give crawford a harder fight because he's looking to box with movement. Guys who stand in front of Crawford who are easy to hit will lose to him. Ortiz loads up too much Crawford will catch and shoot on him all night long. He's just too savvy and skilled for Ortiz at this point. Mark my words if they fight next and with the punishment Ortiz took in his last fight Crawford will ruin that man. Ortiz needs to duck Crawford and look to take on the Spence fundora winner instead.

I think the plans have already been set in motion with Crawford vs Ortiz being next. I don't think there's any better time for Ortiz and Crawford to meet other than soon. Ortiz is 26 and Crawford is already hitting 37. No reason to wait it out longer than necessary.

I hear you but after his war in his last fight then taking it up a notch with Crawford that's a tall order for anyone.

At 147 I think Vergil would have KOed Bud. But after his bouts of rhabdomyolysis (yes I had to look up the spelling) and his struggles making weight along with the war he went through last week, I'm not as sure anymore even though I do still fancy his chances.

Vergil would've gotten smoked at welter. He would've lost to Tszyu has that fight not fell thru

The Ortiz fans should want Ortiz to go the Fundora route

You don’t get hit with a career high because of a “slow start”. Bud is just easy to land on and had trouble with Kav’s power. Even in the Gamboa fight Bud had problems with the hand speed. He’s not gonna have a lot of success against a bigger guy with fast hands and ko power. Also, Ortiz getting hit a lot because he’s always on the offensive is a lot better than getting hit all the time because of downloading data. Madrimov caught em with 5 power shots in a row while he was just standing in front of him, that’s horrible for an elite fighter.

Bud had problems early because 1 he's a slow starter and 2 EK is awkward AF. Ortiz isn't awkward he fights one way for the most part he's not versatile enough to beat a guy like Crawford. Boha landed on him at will and yet you dont think a sharp shooter like crawford wont? You think he will just beat down Crawford with size and power I'm telling you that won't work. His style is made to order for Crawford and you will see this when they fight.

I'd have to go with TC in a tougher than expected fight. I just feel he has much more tools to use.

Nothing about Kavaliauskas is awkward, he’s a basic boxer puncher and only fights coming forward. At least Ortiz can fight on the front or back foot and uses angles to land body shots. Ortiz isn’t Spence, nothing about him is made to order for Bud.
