    Good post.

No, it can’t be ignored that he’s become the first undisputed in 2 divisions. But at the same time, it doesn’t jump out to me like it does with many others.

Yes, it’s extremely rare. But he’s fortunate that he’s had that opportunity, which many fighters don’t have, and that he’s fighting in an era which isn’t the strongest.

Even though it deserves respect, nothing can ever top who you beat, and at what point.

There’s many guys who couldn’t achieve that/didn’t get the opportunity to, but who beat better fighters and who have better resumes.

Ive sat & read right through this thread & the main point I'd like to make is... It takes two fighters to make a fight !! Who do you see screaming for a fight with Terence Crawford?? No one. One of the fighters you claim would improve his resume The Ginger wonder Canelo has already said Crawford is not in his future . Why ??
It cannot be he thinks he's too big for Crawford because he quickly grabbed Jermell & dragged him up 2 weight classes. now he wants Jermall who appears shot both Physically & mentally to be next lol No one fancies fighting Crawford because they don't believe they can beat him.
I'll admit I was wrong for teasing Pimp C when he called Crawford The Cold Eyed Assassin but then I watched a few of his fights & realized that is exactly what he is. I willingly apologized to Pimp over that. Crawford cannot fight himself he needs someone with the stones to get in the ring with him. Canelo has proven he's just a diva or he'd man up & accept Benevidez challenge which is long overdue. Boxing used to be a combat sport where two evenly matched fighters fought in a 100% fair fight to determine which one was the winner. Not any more though it who is behind the the chosen fighter & their influence that determines the winner today not the fighters skills. The greatest sport in the world sinking to these levels breaks my heart

Cold eyed assassin is exactly what he is. And I love that about him.

Benavidez is the same. Actually Benavidez looks more crazy than cold. Mad as ****. True, trained killers.

he does not beat prime pac man. And don’t even think about using Marquez KO as reference since that took 4 fights. Oscar, pac, and Floyd still beat him in his prime

Not as much Ward, but Tyson is consistently in the discussion of ATG especially for heavy weights. I'm just saying that Crawford deserves to be a part of the conversation as well as he's accomplished more than most. People discredit his hard work using factors that were/are out of his control.

All of the WHO's that people put a thumbs down on for Crawford only matter today but won't matter tomorrow. Because simply, as I keep pointing out......People don't know much about MANY OF THE GREATS opponents. They simply say that (insert great's name) is ATG because what is documented in history is that he is great. Not one person can accurately breakdown the pros and cons of all of the opponents of Sugar Ray Robinson or Henry Armstrong or Joe Louis or even the 4 kings......people bring up the high profile fights. The highlighted milestone bouts. What was accomplished off getting your hand raised at the end of that bout is all that matters in history.

When Crawford had his hand raised, he's won 9 world titles. 3 lineal titles, 2 undisputed titles...... and he has yet to have any win be a close decision. He's dominated from 135lbs and moving up. People discredit Gamboa win.....undefeated, top p4p by ring magazine......people discredit Horn....naturally bigger, one fight away from physically bullying Manny for his title....people discredit Porter, 2x world champion, pressure fighter.....never been stopped.......now people discredit Spence......undefeated top p4p 3x world champ who was said to be in his PRIME in the days leading up to the fight.........And Crawford DOMINATED each of those guys....stoppage, dropped multiple times. Each of those guys (and a few others I didn't mention) were suppose to be the fighter to exploit some flaw in Crawford's ability, and almost immediately after fighting each of them.....excuses as to why they fail and Crawford dominating became the storyline........It's like people don't want to call him specifically an ATG.

And there's nothing that can change that in anyone's mind who is still questioning his abilities even after his work vs Spence. If Crawford was to dominate Charlo....they'll be a storyline there as well. If he was to dominate Boots.....there would be a storyline there as well.

Crawford is calling for the Canelo fight because....1......it's the biggest payday to make in the sport for him. And 2.....even though there would be a storyline there, it would be muted at least for a moment as more than likely hangs his gloves up.

You don't know..... You simply listen to other pundits and read articles and/or books that tell you how great previous fighters are and how the new bunch can't measure up to them and you take it as law....... There's no what for you to accurately know if Porter would be able to compete vs Duran.....No way for you to know if Spence would be able to go the distance with Hagler. Etc...... The conversation is always fun for Boxing fans because of discussions like this because they are built on OPINIONS....not facts.......Because facts end the storylines.... You don't see people holding annual debates about how deep the ocean is......because fact is.....it's pretty damn deep. Enough to know that we don't have the equipment available to get to the deepest portion of it. But depending on what source you are leaning on, you'll see a discussion on which body of water has the most dangerous creatures dwelling there. Why because there's no way you can factually say one crazy exotic deadly creature is more than another crazy exotic deadly creature who don't even live in the same area of the world.

The fact is, Crawford swam through his ocean without a single create devouring him. Hagler, Hearns, Duran, etc.....those are exotic creatures who definitely dangerous, but they so happen to be in a different body of water (timeline) than what Crawford swam through. We can't suggest Crawford isn't a great swimmer because he didn't come across those specific creatures..... Because the creature he did come across were promoted to be dangerous as well, until he gutted them.

    Right on.....

RJJ....I'm guessing that's Roy Jones Jr....correct...... I had a conversation with a buddy last month......

I'll ask you the same question I asked him....... Do you think him fighting as long as he did hurt his legacy and who do you think should have been his last fight?

Definitely does hurt in the age of the internet. I mean, can you imagine the Internet being around when SRR was around, he'd be **** on for losing to Joey Archer. And definitely should have been made to retire after Ruiz.

He is taken for granted but when he retires people will then to begin to realize how great of a boxer he was. Whitaker in his prime was in a similar spot while he was fighting and when he retired and people actually looked at his body of work people then realized how special he was.
