Who cares? If Margarito was still active he would be a top ten welterweight, which means Crawford wouldn't go near him with a ten-foot pole, loaded gloves or no.
To be fair crawford never defeated anyone like that either. I think crawford is the more talented fighter, but he's unproven. I'm not saying he couldn't adjust, but he has a lot to overcome in this fight as far as size, pressure and power go. Margarito got in people's ass and wouldn't be deterred by counters. Personally I'd favour prime margarito.
To beat Tony in his prime you had to have a great chin with size(Santos), a significant hand/foot speed advantage(Mosley) or an even higher work rate than him(Paul Williams).. Question is do you think Bud at 147 possess any of these traits..
