I get what you’re saying and I’m agreeing with you.. I’m saying I believe the Ruiz loss was very bad for AJ but he could afford it based on the opposition he’s beaten up until that point.. Even though Wilder don’t lose to a Ruiz type opponent he needed to beat it at least be competitive with Fury to validate his career. Had he beaten better opponents throughout his career the Fury beating wouldn’t have been viewed as bad because Fury could be considered as the best HW of this era Even though he’s accomplished a good deal I believe Bud Crawford to be in a similar position as Wilder. If he continues to fight the type of opponents he’s faced and finally fight Errol Spence and lose then he could be considered a fraud who only beat C+ to B level fighters. But if Errol Spence loser after beating Danny he wouldn’t be viewed as lowly as Bud would if he lost.
