What are your thoughts on the era (00-10)?

Combat sports on a whole seemed absolutely jumping during that time, but I revisit so many fights from that era it’s scary!

There were so many modern classics that happened, ATG’s were still in their primes (too many to mention) and there was such a great blend of European, American & Asian talent around.

Ill always remember staying up till ridiculous oclock and watching Mosely beating Marg like an ugly ginger stepchild who stole something. That was such an epic beatdown.

Was the decade I genuinely fell in love with the sport (Ward vs Gatti 1).

Will almost certainly remain my favorite decade of boxing.

All the guys saying 90 s and 80 s were better are just bitter americans.
Boxing was a joke back in the 20th century. A world championship back then was more of a golden glove championship then a international title fight.

Dunno maybe boxing in australia was viewed from a american point of view or lets say english speaking country.
Fact is since the 00s there was been a massive wave of good fighters coming from eastern europe and asia who just didnt have the chance to participate in world boxing before. Also latin american fighters have a much better chance of beeing successful in the usa cause a demogeaphic change and stuff.

The quality of American fighters even declined since the 70's, 80's and 90's. They are choosing other sports and boxing gyms aren't prevalent in the neighborhoods like they used to be. Love Wilder, Spence, Charlos etc but I'm not sure if they'd be as prominent in those day. Same goes for the EE fighters. Boxing was a hard man's game back then.

90s car design was the best. Today's cars are angular and geometric abominations.
